The food is good but the waiters are terrible, rude and very racist, they did everything to make me feel bad and leave the restaurant, an extremely racist place, be careful! This is not the only bad experience here on the site
Spotted this authentic looking Czech restaurant just up the street from our apartment and tried it for lunch. At first we were encouraged to see that the place was moderately full of exclusively Czech people, most of when seemed to be enjoying ‘hearty’ stews or...roasted joints. Sadly our first impressions proved false. The waiters seemed sullen, uncommunicative and disinterested in serving us. We ordered a goulash and a couple of local fish dishes which arrived reasonably quickly and were at least hot. However, there was nothing special about the flavours or the presentation which could, at best, be described as homely. When we came to pay the bill the waiter made it very clear that service was not included and having presented him with a large Czeck Kr note (as it was all we had at the time) he insisted on keeping the change as “his tip” and became quite aggressive when we sought to argue otherwise. Not a good advert for Prague.More
This restaurant was recommended by the staff at our Hotel. When we entered it was obviously busy but as only half the seating area was visible from the door it was difficult to see if they had availability. The sign by the entrance asked that...you wait to be seated which is what we did. After a few minutes we were approached by a waiter, and we asked for a table for two, he shrugged his arms, said no and then said ‘you can see we are busy’! With that he walked off!!
We went up the street and had a lovely meal at Pizza Coliseum.More
Other than the beer, this place is not worth going to. We waited more than a full hour (70 minutes to be precise) for our lunches. The waiter came up with an explanation of sorts which beggared belief but rather foolishly we stayed. As an...encore I had to count out the money to the waiter since he insisted my calculation of the change was wrong ... but since I only had two beers I couldn't have been wrong and he had to accept the simple arithmetics. Did I leave a tip? (This seems to be a big issue in this place, and elsewhere, to be honest.) Over my dead body!
My body did react though: after three hours I had to run to the toilet. And then five more times throughout the evening. But anyway, lesson learnt: when your gut feeling tells you there is something wrong with a restaurant, you should GET UP and LEAVE!More
We went for a diner after, Champions league was on and waiter were annoyed that we were there. Food was good. They wanted to sell more but no info about the dishes, no smiles... go for other place if you can, do not disturb them
I absolutely recommend this place! The quality of the ingredients is very high, well cooked and served. Customer service was very good and when the bill arrived we couldn’t even believe it for how cheap it was, with just 12.50€ each we had a massive...meal! Everything was wonderful!More
Absolutely terrible place. This night we saw a crazy scene. The waiter was making a scream to the old people because of the wrong order. It was so horrible. The director have to check the cameras and see this. COMON, die in hell if your...stuff do it with old peopleMore
Walking around Prague we went for lunch at U Graffu. There was 8 of us and we had an awesome lunch. The place has old Czech favourites but also modern food that was fresh and delicious. If you go there ask for the manager Darek...Buchalek and he will make sure you are taken care of. Our waiter Adam was helpful and attentive. Try it, you won't be disappointed.More
