The worse restaurant in Prague, and most likely in the whole of Czech Republic. Walked into the so called Mexican restaurant, that is just some slim plywood that would fall if you passed gas too hard, and had to find our own table with no...assistance from the staff. We needed to search the “restaurant“ for a menu while the staff we trying to scam the other group in the places out of there money. Extremely loud and deafening music ringed around the “restaurant” making it impossible to hear my friends and other people that were shoulder to shoulder with me on their self naked creates they call chairs. After taking our order we waited 40 minutes for our food, being the only people within the “restaurant” this was outstanding long. When the food did arrive we were all faced with cold food. the cheese sauce had enough time to form a skin before arriving and the burrito, chimichanga, and “taco” (which as much a taco as a cow is a car) all were not real food and was not mexican food in the slightest. All members at our tables left with the high concentration of defacating our trousers. We all felt a rush to leave the “restaurant” and pay for the torture we had endured. within this rush the waiters desided to steal our change without telling us, receiving another 500 kr from us. In conclusion if you have respect for yourself choose a different place to eat.More

Me and some friends felt like having Mexican food and thought we would find something not too far from the hotel. When we walked down the street we realised we probably made a mistake choosing this place but oh well, too late now, I’m sure...it’ll be fine. No. Absolutely not. We didn’t get greeted in, when the restaurant was almost empty but I wasn’t too bothered. We ended up having to get the menus ourselves so the service already was terrible. But once again I didn’t care enough to be upset by it. After we eventually managed to order, we were given four dirty plates, so that’s a great start! Meanwhile, we decided to look over that atrocity and listen to the music that blasted out of the tv at a thousand decibels, so very relaxing and not deafening at all. Anyway, 50 minutes later we got our lovely share plates, and on them were what I can only assume were microwaved piles of biohazard material. The burrito consisted of month old refried beans, I assume they were refried beans anyway, and cold mushed chicken. A lovely ratio of 9:1 in terms of bean:chicken. The quesadillas were a sorry excuse for anything but pieces of tortilla with some cheese between them. Oh, by the way this share plate for two is 690 Koruna. I really could go on about the atrocity that was my meal but it would take too long to express my disappointment. What about this was Mexican? I feel sorry for how they defaced the name. There was no spice to this at all either. Really? No spice in Mexican food? Overall, the service was non existent, the food was a potential health hazard, awful location, and very overpriced. Additionally, we decided to not leave a tip for obvious reasons. They did not like that, so their response was to pretend to not be able to give us any change despite some of us paying with coins, allowing them to give us change and so they kept the money. It wasn’t much, but wasn’t what you’d hope for. On top of that they essentially gave us a death stare as we left. I hope they enjoy the extra 20 Koruna they got from me. Please do not even consider this place.More

This is the least Mexican like Mexican restaurant I have ever visited. The burritos contained no rice, the tacos were soft, the chips were plain bad, the steak felt like it has been cooked in two halves. I personally had the chicken tacos as I...thought the beef ones weren't really worth spending my life savings and first born child on. The shells as previously mentioned were soft and of the 3 on the plate, two of them were laying in the puddle of sour cream that had devoured about a third of my plate. While this is a near petty complaint, the music was incredibly loud to the point of having to shout across the table, also had adverts being blasted into my ears every 5 minuets. Having to wait about 10 minutes short of an hour wasn't exactly ideal for 3 tacos either. To conclude our wonderful dining experience we were overcharged as well.More

Im personally not bothered by mexican food so i just had the beef steak and i didnt expect it to be great but in the end it was so much worse. The steak was very chewy and just overall rubbish it comes with no sauces...so it was very dry the chips were like frozen tesco chips so overall not good The music was deafening and sounded like a year 6 disco At the end of the meal when we payed one of the workers seemed very annoyed we didnt tip even though the food was freezing and god awful. Avoid this placeMore

The food they put on the table can never be called Mexican; the chef has never been in Mexico or in a Mexican restaurant in his life. We ordered tacos, and they brought us something like quesadillas; wheat tortillas with grated cheese but NOT melted!!!....We also ordered enchiladas, but it looked more like lasagne; rolled tortillas with a lot reis with cheese (this time melted) on the top; according to the menu they were with beef and chicken, but i couldn't find that taste there. As Mexican i would nerve recommend this restaurant for real Mexican food, not even as tex-mex food. I recommend to the chef to make a research about Mexican food at least on YouTube; they would improve 100% or change the man name of the restaurant to simmering different than Mexican. By the way, the name of this is wrongly written; the correct way is"el pueblo mexicano" and NOT mexicana....but maybe the intention was to write it wrong in order to call the attention of the people. The personnel was not unfriendly but a waitress brought us at the end 2 liters more of lemonade without asking us, and of course we had to pays for it. Actually she never communicate in any language with us. Her colleague (the. Slim one) was taking the big order and was very nice. The ambience was ok, nothing to complain about that. The place is very central located.More

We had a dinner here on Thursday evening. Interior could be more cosy and natural in mex. way but food was very good. There are better mex. restaurants in Prague but I would go back again.

I have been here twice and I will definitely visit this place again! The portion was adequate and the food was good but the main thing is, that they have the best dry wine I've ever drank. I was so excited about, that I have...to go there within a couple of days just for that wine!! And of course ask them what was that. So my recommendation is dry Chardonnay! ♥ Thank you for great evening. ♥More

My friend took me to this restaurant as she has been speaking a lot about it. I got chicken and cheese quesadilla and it was delicious! I have already revisited this place so many times and every single time it feels like the food gets...even better. If you are ever in Prague and would like to transfer yourself to Mexico this place won't disappoint you.More

I was quite pleasantly surprised by the authenticity of the cuisine in this restaurant. It is hard to find that in Europe, where they usually make something spicy, put some paprika and corn in it and call it "Mexican". :) We had the flautas (a...bit large; I would suggest making 2 small ones instead of 1 huge one, but very tasty), the rice was great, chips and salsa as well, fresh greens, cool ambience. Can't comment on the service much because I know Mexican food and didn't need any explanation and we were there right before the dinner rush with not too many other costumers around, so our service was perfect. Our lady was pretty, young, smiling, super nice and very attentive.More

Nice restaurant, good service and food was very nice. We couldn't decide what to get so we went for a sharing platter, it had everything on it - nachos, quesadillas, fajitas plus other Mexican food I've not had before, All very good. Didn't like the...fact that we got charged for a extra pot of salsa but for 2 large beers, 3 glasses of white wine for the Mrs and the bill was no more than £40.More

Very poor service the lady working couldn’t even tell us anything about the menu, food was great don’t get me wrong. But waiters complained when didn’t get a tip but didn’t deserve one at all. A friend of ours left a beanie inside and they...shut the doors and dangled it in front of her for not giving a tip, we paid our bill and no where does it say you have to tip.More
