As a long-time resident of Prague, I tend to avoid the tourist traps in Stará Města and Malá Strana. Pod Vezi is an exception to this. The food is excellent ( I particular recommend snails as a starter). The service is excellent. The multilingual staff...are courteous, efficient and helpful in recommending the optimum dish and wine combination to fussy and demanding customers like me and my partner. There are many cheaper places to eat in the neighbourhood, but there are none which are better value for money.More

Frane/Frank was our waiter and very attentive - great recommendations re food and wine pairings and yet very reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant - very close to Charles Bridge!! We sat outside (heaters n blankets aplenty) and it was great for people watching...- we were visiting from the shore/coastal area of New Jersey.More

Absolutely gorgeous meal and outstanding service. I’m fussy about service as I have been a silver service waitress myself, they were perfect. Attentive but not overbearing. All good came together 8 people, was hot and really something special. We had 8 mains, 4 desserts, 3...bottles of wine, bread & butter. It came £26.50 per head.More

Many restaurants to choose from near our apartment in Prague. For dinner we picked the restaurant of the Hotel Pod Vezi, and during our five night stay we went there twice. The food is very good--we both had pasta dishes-and the salmon. They also had...a delicious vegetable plate with sweet potato and other fresh tasting local vegetables. We ate inside one night and on the patio the next.  We had service, on night one from Radek and night two from "Super Mario" also known  as Martin  they were truly outstanding. It is a beautiful setting inside or outside.More

We went as a family of 5 and the service and food couldn’t have been better. The staff were so lovely and took the time to talk us through the food and wine! Definitely deserve the full 5 stars!

Really bad food and slow service. I don’t know how they can get 4 stars on Tripadvisor. It was literally awful. Cannot recommend it at all!

Visited on Tuesday 13 September 2022 as recommended by our Hotel Bishops House. We were worried at first that it would be a tourist trap (overpriced for average food) given its proximity to the Charles Bridge. Our worries were soon dispelled. Our server who was...knowledgeable about wine both international and local and his recommendations for white and red were first class. The food was excellent and with each serving the server explained the ingredients for the dish as you normally only get with an upmarket tasting menu. Will definitely return when we are next in Prague.More

We just ordered from the menu offered so I agree with youngmc8 - contact the hotel. The staff were very helpful when we visited so, hopefully, they'll be happy to offer something suitable for a special diet.
