I regularly go to the restaurant Ichnusa since I moved to Prague one year ago. I appreciate the intimate atmosphere, the quality of the service (which shouldn't be taken for granted in Prague) and above all the high quality of the food: it is striking that in a country so far away from the sea you can eat such a... No special atmosphere, no special food. We were told this place used to be good. One thing for sure, it no longer is. A pity. Grossly overpriced for what we got. We do not mind paying more but there has to be a reason. Something is wrong. Like a band playing out of tune. The food was fresh, service attentive... More

More

I went to Ichnusa several years ago (~5) and it was fantastic. There was no menu, just the choice in between a meat or a fish based meal kindly explained by the Chef himself. I think it was a small family business (husband and wife?) with very few tables and the food was delicious! Now, there is a (very) long... More

We tried this place off a friend's recommendation and really enjoyed it! The setting was unique and provided a nice atmosphere. Service was a bit slow, but not bad if you're just looking for a leisurely dinner. Recommend!

Small, quiet, excellent food, pleasant. In a city over-run with tourist traps and mediocre overpriced food, this is a gem.

Tacked in a size street from Ujezd sits a small bistro well worth visiting. They serve authentic Sardinian food that melts in your mouth. I recommend to try fish as they are always fresh and just yummy!!

Beautiful location, romantic atmosphere, cozy. It's my favorite restaurant when I go to Prague, it is always a pleasure to come back! Great price! Exquisite dishes that enhance the quality of the raw material with refined combinations. Extensive wine list, for all price ranges. After reading reviews on trip advisor we were looking forward to eating at this restaurant. The reviews flattered to deceive!! Food was very average, highlight of the visit was the wine. We are in Prague for 7 nights this will be our first and last visit.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
