We visited U Parlamentu on the last night of our trip after receiving a recommendation from a local guy around the corner. We arrived for dinner quite early in the evening and the restaurant itself was already packed with a 15 minute wait for a table. We were happy to wait with a drink by the bar. The restaurant itself feels very traditional, non-touristy and great value for money which is great considering it's prime central location in the historic centre.
I ordered the pork with potato dumplings & greens. It's a no frills dish, but nonetheless was hearty, rustic and really tasty. I'd also recommend the brie/camembert to start. My partner ordered the schnitzel and fried bread with garlic (which is literally as it sounds....a fried piece of bread with a whole raw peeled garlic clove).
I'm glad we arrived early as by the time we were leaving, we overhead one of the waiters tell people queuing that the wait time was well over an hour. It's not the fanciest place but it has a buzzing atmosphere and good food. Would definitely recommend a visit & if I return to Prague, will certainly be returning.

This place is quite busy, as it is popular by both tourists and locals due to its central location. However waiting time is shorter than at other places as they can seat several companies at the same table, or even ask a couple to move to another table to accommodate a bigger company. This does not bother clients much, as staff is very friendly indeed.

We went there for a pigleg and to check out the athmosphere. We where to personsons for the pig so we one schoulder together. Excellent cooked and served with dark beer in a very cosy, brownish, intellectual athmophere this is going to stay one of my absolute favorits in Prague.

We came here for dinner, and after asking for dinner menu dish (and shown it in the menu), the waiter brought us some unrelated dessert. After asking again, they said that dinner menu was not available, with some hard to believe explanations (limited to several portions per day). In the end we only had lemonade there, which was pretty dull, especially for it's price.

I think we did not have luck with this restaurant, so on the disappointed side all together.
My wife ordered Penne with chicken and dried tomatoes (got lots of penne, 2-3 microbites of chicken, few slices of tomato); I ordered Traditional Czech plate (duck, roast and smoked pork) and cabbage and was not blown away. Duck was dry, like something left from yesterday.
And it was after we waited over an hour (waiter forgot about our order). We expected some gesture, like offer of free drink or something like that, but it did not happen.
It is very hard to give objective rating based on our experience, so I will rate everything as "average".

You know somewhere is good when it’s queuing outside! We queued for around 20 mins before getting a table. We ordered a beer each, the sausage starter to share and beef goulash each.
The starter was delicious and enough for two to share. Next was the goulash… this was genuinely one of the best meals I’ve ever had!! The beef was cooked to perfection, was so tender and the sauce was packed with flavour. The bread dumplings were also incredible, so light and soft!
We loved it so much here that we popped back in for lunch on our last day before heading to the airport.
The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. We absolutely loved it here, the food is delicious. A must-try restaurant when in Prague!! Prices are very reasonable, we paid less than 700czk (ÂŁ25) for two mains and two beers

Nothing exciting to report here. The service is friendly and attentive and perhaps the best part of the restaurant. The food takes a back seat to the service, perhaps the cook needs replacing. The food was bland… no flavor… we had two different dishes and could barely tell one from the other flavor wise. We had goulash and beef in cream sauce and neither delighted our senses. The restaurant is clean and modern, but the food is subpar. Very disappointing.

Had dinner without a reservation with a 40 minute wait outside for the table. We ordered onion soup and goulash served on the plate with the typical bread gnocchi. The food was delicious, unfortunately they had run out of pork knuckle so we were bummed as we had waited so long. However, the place is very welcoming and the service is fast. For a soup, two goulash, water and beer we paid around €15 each, a very affordable price. I absolutely recommend a stop here.

We were very lucky and managed to get a table straight away as there is often a queue at this restaurant (we went on a Wednesday evening). It would be worth queueing for though as the food was delicious and the service was great! I had a schnitzel and my partner had the meat plate and they were both tasty and great value for money. Would definitely recommend.

I went to this restaurant driven by the excellent reviews and the proximity to the hostel and I can be satisfied with what I ate.
I took the goulash, chips, water and a glass of wine. I paid €18, including €2 tip
when you arrive at the restaurant there is a bit of a queue, but the super friendly and helpful waiter at the entrance makes you wait and takes you inside as soon as a table becomes free, but you don't have the feeling of having to eat in a hurry to clear the table.
the excellent service, the quality of the food too, the only thing is that the goulash was a little small in quantity, but still excellent!
however, the prices are in line with those of Prague, so second courses of meat range from €7/8 to €15/16 depending on the cut and type of meat you choose.
it is full of tourists as it is close to the centre, but it does not lose the quality and atmosphere of a typical restaurant.

We had a fantastic dinner meal at this restaurant. The food seemed fresh and recipes authentically Czech. Brie appetizer stood out. The goulash was delicious and we also enjoyed spinach crepes and a gluten free beef dish. The prices were quite reasonable. Four of us had 2 rounds of drinks, 3 appetizers, 4 entrees and a shared dessert for under $100 USD.

The food was okay a bit rich in fat, additional thing what we wanted to mention that would be nice to get some salad with a pork steak as well. And select these pork steaks more carefully. Soup did not had any flavor as well.

Here are the problems encountered:
1) 40 minute wait after ordering
2) They make you sit at the table with other people. Tables so narrow that you have to stand up to let people pass
3) You could see a lady working in the kitchen wearing a sleeveless shirt
4) At the counter a waiter washed the beer mugs and rinsed them by hand without a dishwasher.
5) As in every restaurant in Prague the staff is not friendly.

2 lunches taken in this pleasant restaurant with cool waiters.
From Monday to Friday, they have daily menus (3 choices) at ultra reasonable Awards. But we also stayed at the weekend and it's not very expensive either. Good menu and food. Also typical frame with old pictures in n and b. A lot of money for me.

We asked if it was possible to book a dinner at this restaurant. We were told no, and advised to show up after 9pm in order to find a free table. When we arrived at 9.05pm they made us queue and told us that we would be the last diners of the evening (the customers who arrived later were sent away). If we had arrived a few minutes later we wouldn't have been welcomed either, even though they were the ones who recommended us to show up after 9pm.
Pork shank plentiful and quite good (a little dry). The onion and cheese soup is very good.
At 10.30pm we asked if it was possible to order a coffee, and we were told no because they had already cleaned the machine by then.
What to say. We're not quite there.
