How is La Casa Trattoria - Žižkov rated?

The food was alright with an outstanding cheesecake as highlight. That’s where the praise ends. The service is outright terrible with horrendous attitude and on a verge of just being scammy. We were waiting for 20 minutes for the waiter to come for the first...drink orders, the ordered seafood was served without cutlery and napkins, and even just a refill order of a bottle of coke took half an hour to bring to the table. To top it off, our group was charged one extra meal without us noticing - in other restaurants i would be inclined to believe it was an honest mistake, however with the attitude of servers here I suspect foul play. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Steer away, there are better places in Prague and just about every place has much better service.More

Fresh air of Italy

Excellent cuisine, very charming interior and staff. The food was brought in a short time and was fabulous. Every single seafood is prepared to your complete satisfaction. The offer of drinks provides sufficiently large possibilities for wine and cocktail lovers, as well as occasional consumers...or nonalcoholic drinkers. I pleasantly surprised by the high level of professionalism of the staff, we were asked several times if we were missing something and we were introduced to the recommended options, the staff knows when you might need them perfectly. The level of thoughtfulness and overall warmth was a niceness has been a highlight of the evening. We will definitely come back. The only thing that might surprise someone and discourage them is pricing, you will pay around (rather over) a thousand crowns for dinner, but you will not regret a single penny. I recommend making a reservation, it is usually crowdy around dinner, but the space is divided well so that visitors are not disturbed. Ideal for couples dinning, business meetings, solo casual meal or with friends - I am sure you will love it under any circumstances.More

Splendid

Very nice place, great people, and excellent food. You cannot start but without one of their great soups, then paella, or risotto are very good, and even difficult to eat due to the quantity.

Staff absolutely AWFUL

The waitress was not friendly at all and absolutely not pleasant. Indeed she seemed not to appreciate strangers and as soon as she understood that we were not Czech she became quite aggressive. Once we took a sit and started checking the menu she went...back to our table and when we said to her that we still hadn’t chosen she replied to us very rudely that we had just 5 minutes to choose and no more. She almost threw our plates on the table and after when we asked to pay she looked to be very angry that we wanted to pay by card ! The food was not that bad but this waitress is probably the worst one I’ve ever seen.More

Paella Paradise

This Mediterranian restaurant, just down the street from the Cimrman Theatre in Zizkov, is perfect for a post play meal. It has a nice atmosphere, and the dishes, which can be ordered either by the plate or by the pan, are delicious. Try the paella!...The cute young waitress never smiled, but she was efficient. My only complaint is that the beers are .33 liter instead of .5 liter, so you have to order more often.More

I ate here four times during my stay in Prague. Wonderful food and very friendly staff. The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming. Highly recommend.

The food and price is right.

Excellent meal and presentation. Great value. Delicious food and wine selection. Staff is friendly and attentive. Nice desserts too. Romantic atmosphere as well.

Pasta heaven

Myself and my friend have just visited this restaurant for our dinner. Off down a side street we were the only ones in there for a while. However very nice looking restaurant with only a handful of tables. We ordered spaghetti and sea bass and...we both enjoyed our meals immensely. The only thing that didn’t make this 5 out of 5 was that the waitress wasn’t very friendly and when we tried to order some red wine she didn’t understand us. It would have been easier if we could have had a wine menu to point at. Would recommend this restaurant.More
