This place is excellent! If you're in Prague for a short time I would definitely visit RM Rilke! Nice central location, so not difficult to find, on a street with lots of bars and restaurants.. Made a reservation when we passed during the day for the evening, and I'm so glad we did, the food is wonderful! Quite a small... More

This place has a wonderful, intimate atmosphere. Service was excellent - friendly, professional, good English and attentive. If you're looking for authentic Czech or with a little more to it than the usual pork and potato combinations then this is the place! Be sure to make a reservation.

This quaint, small restaurant was a great find in Prague. My husband and I enjoyed it so much that we ate most of our meals there. The snitzle was the best and the portions of food were plentiful and reasonably priced. Staff was very friendly.

An amazing dinner. Cozy place and excellent service. Duck was amazing, I strong recommend to try it. It was a great surprise especially after spending a full day walking.

On our first night in Prague, we ate at Rainer Maria Rilke. So glad we did. I don't think I had ever had real Goulash before, so I was glad they had it on the menu. My companion and I started out with 2 glasses of red Czech wine. I didn't really have high expectations, but, when in Rome...er, Prague....It... More

After a hike and getting turned around several times, found the R.M. Rilke and were not disappointed. Loved the atmosphere and decor, and server was superb and very helpful. He seemed to be the only server taking care of many tables. We recommend the mushroom soup for a starter. Very tasty. Also had the chicken/veggie/noodle soup which was good, but... More

Service was very good. Traditional looking serving great food. I'd recommend the crispy duck, tasty and lots of meat! Not to cheap compared to some places but still good value .

Mot to expensive, but not to cheap, around 10-15€ the main dish. But it is worth it, the Goulash was excellent, and the potatoes galette served with it were exquisit (was I to got back there, I would try the dish potatoe-based...). The service was good, though I went in the middle of the afternoon, so there were not many... More

We visited this place encouraged by very positive reviews on tripadvisor and were quite disappointed with the food. I ordered “Crispy duck roasted in stoneware pan according to our grandmothers´ recipe”. The food was served after a very short time, 5 min tops – a bit suspicious for an almost empty restaurant with such a wide menu. Funny – is... More

Description
You will find our restaurant in the very heart of Prague, in the place which inspired the famous romantic poet R.M. Rilke. The restaurant provides a calm oasis of gastronomical experience, worth discovering, in the busy, pulsing centre of the town. We build upon the very best of Czech gastronomical tradition. Our cuisine isn't based on extravagancies, but on a straight approach to Czech meals, the freshest local ingredients and humility to the culinary profession. The best proof is the satisfaction of our customers.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
