Rilke Restaurant

Ratings and reviews

Location and contact

You will find our restaurant in the very heart of Prague, in the place which inspired the famous romantic poet R.M. Rilke. The restaurant provides a calm oasis of gastronomical experience, worth discovering, in the busy, pulsing centre of the town. We build upon the very best of Czech gastronomical tradition. Our cuisine isn't based on extravagancies, but on a straight approach to Czech meals, the freshest local ingredients and humility to the culinary profession. The best proof is the satisfaction of our customers.

The loveliest restaurant I’ve been to. A cute little authentic Czech restaurant with the most delicious food and best customer service! My boyfriend got the lamb shank and said it was the nicest meal he’s ever eaten in a restaurant. Highly recommend

Had a wonderful lunch here before walking around the castle grounds. We had the Cream soup of forest mushrooms and shared the Goat cheese and golden roasted on grilled vegetables and duck liver confit appetizers. Everything was excellent, but the goat cheese and roasted vegetables...More

Visited Rilke in January. We were alone in the evening. Small cozy place on the road from the center. Quiet pleasant music, old fashioned furniture. We choose national cuisine and it was really tasty. Ice cream with hot raspberries for the desert.

On many previous visits to Prague, Restaurant Rainer Maria Rilke has always been the "go to" restaurant for the outstanding meal of our trip. Although we've been away from the city for over two years, we knew that the restaurant was having to move from...More

This is a cozy place very close to the castle, in a street off the main tourist path. We had a very nice lunch and coffee. Friendly service.

We were in the area and walked in without a reservation. The waiter was very nice, said he would seat us right away. I am very glad we stopped in when we did as the next couple to walk in didn't get to sit although...More

We trusted the reviews and walked out of the way to come here. Portions are large, but that’s about it. Food was really not particularly good. Service was very good, but the food was just a big flavorless disappointment. It makes me wonder if there...More

Very close to our hotel this was a good option when we first arrived. Quirky little place, very atmospheric, good staff but food was a bit disappointing. Prague ham appeared to be prepackaged. We both ordered the rabbit leg and expected a succulent hind leg...More
