We were staying just down the street from this restaurant, so after an exhausting day walking around Prague we wanted something to eat close by. We were not disappointed...simple, hearty and delicious Czech food was paired with friendly service and lovely Czech wine. I had the mushroom soup then the leg of rabbit, with arguably the best mashed potato I've... More

Dear Mazalina, thank you very much for your positive review. It's well appreciated. If you still have some time left in Prague and want to try other czech traditional meals, we highly recommend to taste our roasted duck in grandma style with variation of czech dumplings. That's highlight of our menu and we're sure you gonna love that! Nevertheless, thank... More

We stumbled into it at an odd hour: around 4:00pm. The place has a real old world charm, and is very tastefully decorated. While waiting for lunch, the waiter brought us a small Becherovka, a local liquor, which was just a nice touch. The mushroom soup was large and very tasty. So was the goulash. The place is small but... More

Stopped in this quaint little restaurant on our way down from the monastery. My wife had the duck which was excellent and I had the goulash. Both were fantastic! Try the honey cake for dessert. Can't go wrong with this little gem!

2 doors up from our wonderful hotel Karla was this diminutive looking restaurant. Everything from the decor to the service, food and price was exactly as we had hoped. We started with the best goats cheese and walnut plate that you could imagine USD$7. Mains were half breast of duck with dumplings and pickled cabbage. All I can say is... More

This restaurant has recently moved to Úvoz 169/6, Hradčany location (from Karoliny Svelte 25). They are now closer to the castle. I think they have been open for only a month or so in the new location and are suffering a little because the word is not out about their move and people think they have closed. We found this... We were not sure what we would find because of a recent review that the old restaurant was closed and had relocated. Its current location is on a quiet street near the castle and it was close to our hotel. Our party of 8 arrived at 1930 without reservations but found no trouble being seated. I imagine the restaurant at... More

We stopped in here on our way to Old Town...what a deliciously good decision that turned out to be!! The food is a bit pricey, but well worth it!! The bread is served warm with butter that has garlic, mustard and chives incorporated. There were three of us and for mains we had: pork tenderloin in mustard gravy w/bacon and... More

Description
You will find our restaurant in the very heart of Prague, in the place which inspired the famous romantic poet R.M. Rilke. The restaurant provides a calm oasis of gastronomical experience, worth discovering, in the busy, pulsing centre of the town. We build upon the very best of Czech gastronomical tradition. Our cuisine isn't based on extravagancies, but on a straight approach to Czech meals, the freshest local ingredients and humility to the culinary profession. The best proof is the satisfaction of our customers.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
