A small restaurant just next to our hotel U Krale Karla at Mala Strana. The food is definetly best in Prague. We visited there twice and tasted duck, rabbit, lamb and gulash, and never ever I've got so good meat. But it's not a fast food place, so be patient. Service was very kind even that the place was full.... More

It was my 60th and my family and I (myself, wife and grown up children) wanted somewhere special. Found this restaurant in a guide book. From the start we knew we were onto a winner. The ambiance of the place was beautiful - Bohemian sums it up. The food - what can I say - we had the Prague Ham,... More

The prices are a bit higher than other restaurants we visited in Prague but was well worth it. The duck was amazing and the portions were large. The Czech beef in cream sauce was one of our favorite dishes of our trip. We even came back on our last night knowing we would have a romantic candlelight dinner with fantastic... More

We went there because our hotel recommended. It didn't look good from outside. a bit dark ,small and deco outdated. but we went in as we were booked by our hotel guy. We wanted traditional food. Goulash was ok, pasta was good. But what was oustanding was duck and the service. As soon as we sat down on hot day... More

Dear SandySydneyAus, thank you for great feedback. We're happy to serviced you the way you expected and that you were satisfied. As for the outside look - detail is the king - and we're keeping the look of buildings in R.M.Rilke's era, which is the beginning of the 20th century. Nevertheless, some of the details might be subject to change... More

Saw the reviews and decided to have the last meal in Prague here and man was it the greatest decision!!! This place is EXCELLENT!!! My friend wanted to try the Greek salad as a starter so we split that, not exactly the Greek salad you would expect but keep to the rule of fresh and good ingredients which made for... More

I traveled together with my husband and passed by this restaurant. We were lucky to find the table for two for dinner as all were reserved for the next days. We had a Goulash soup, a mushroom soup and pork medalion which ended up to be an all senses delight. I definitely recommend this place for all people seeking culinary... More

We liked the Czech food so much we went 4 times in a week. The dishes are authentic Czech, very good service and a lovely cozy feel to the restaurant.

Typical local interior. Decent meal, certainly with good Quality ingrediënten and tasteful. Not exquisite though. Very friendly service. We even were offered a free dessert big enough to share, but don't know way we deserved this. There was a winelistbof only Czech wiens in Czech language. The open wine we were proposed was poor quality. Overall quite enjoyable.

Dear gbraem, thank you for your review. We want our customers to enjoy the stay at our place at the fullest, so dessert at the end of the meal is not only for "V. I. P.'s". Description
You will find our restaurant in the very heart of Prague, in the place which inspired the famous romantic poet R.M. Rilke. The restaurant provides a calm oasis of gastronomical experience, worth discovering, in the busy, pulsing centre of the town. We build upon the very best of Czech gastronomical tradition. Our cuisine isn't based on extravagancies, but on a straight approach to Czech meals, the freshest local ingredients and humility to the culinary profession. The best proof is the satisfaction of our customers.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
