This is a charming place very close to the Strahova monastery and the Hotel Questenberk. The fare is good though not exceptional. However the quantities are enormous so order wisely !

Right next the castle in beautiful Mala Strana, it's a lovely walk up to the restaurant. The dishes are traditional czech and 5 star! Excellent value for money too. I would highly recommend eating here, if only to get a real taste of traditional czech cuisine.

I had the old bohemian goodness from the daily menu. I tasted very good and it was quite big. The staff was also very friendly. Thank you very much!

Great value for money. Went for lunch. The lamb shank was exceptional. The interior is interesting also. We had a lovely time here and felt really good value for money. Would recommend to everyone looking for a place for a decent meal with in walking distance of the castle.

We had a great meal here. The deer was exceptional and highly recommended. I had the bohemian goodness- pork and dumplings with a rostie. Amazing. All in all a really worth while visit.

I really wanted to love this restaurant. Really. It is just the sort of local eatery I generally love, replete with old guys enjoying their dinners and made at home decor. But the food didn't live up to our expectations. First issue, for me, was the immense size of the portions. My duck liver starter was huge, three plus livers... More

Dear Pamela F, thank you very much for your feedback, it is truly appreicated. However, as far as I understand, main complaining is about the size of the portions. Frankly said, apart from serving traditional old-czech meals, this is one of our main differentiators on our market. I'm not afraid to say it's in our DNA to provide such nice... More

Went there for lunch with my family, and the restaurant is amazing. The host is very friendly and welcomed us with water, bread basket and garlic butter. The food is big portion and taste amazing, especially the crispy duck. I also love the decor of the restaurant, and the candle light with classic music. We really enjoyed the family lunch... More

We had a lovely evening in the restaurant, celebrating the birthday of two good friends . The restaurant was small and felt warm and welcoming. The service was so good and even though we were a party of fifteen people, everything went very smooth..The food was lovely, the meat so tender and the fish first class. The housewine, both the... Just ate there 2 hours ago with my wife. We had 2 different dishes, duck and rabbit with spinach ..dumplings etc. From the menu. Food was good but nothing special, reminds me of my grandma's cooking while i was little. Dumplings stick to your teeth...not very pleasant for us both. Pretty cheap i would say. Paid 1100kr for 2 dishes,... More

Description
You will find our restaurant in the very heart of Prague, in the place which inspired the famous romantic poet R.M. Rilke. The restaurant provides a calm oasis of gastronomical experience, worth discovering, in the busy, pulsing centre of the town. We build upon the very best of Czech gastronomical tradition. Our cuisine isn't based on extravagancies, but on a straight approach to Czech meals, the freshest local ingredients and humility to the culinary profession. The best proof is the satisfaction of our customers.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
