We booked this for a 50th birthday meal so we wanted it to be great and it didn't disappoint. The food was distinctive, well-presented and hearty, great-value and served with an eye for detail. It was also outstanding value for money.

Ambience was fab, great service especially considering one guy was doing the whole thing. Massive portions. Yummy. LARGE glasses of wine :-)

We went in the evening as we were staying at a hotel nearby and it was fantastic! Very quiet, beautiful interior (traditional style + candlelit ) and delicious food with huge portions. We had the steak and pork sirloin and both were delicious. The house red is very good and goes well with everything. Top that off with lovely service... More

We loved everything about our meal here. The food was incredibly delicious (get the duck!). Service was great and the atmosphere is very cozy. It is not a tourist-trap kind of place, which is also a huge plus.

We visited this cosy place after a walk around Prague castle. It is decorated in a cosy traditional style; service is attentive and very friendly. The menu offers a wide range of regional and traditional specialities. Even though most dishes are for carnivores, there are some tasty vegetarian options as well. We had dark beer, soups and a main course.... More

If you are looking for traditional czech dishes, served in a traditional czech location with traditional czech atmosphere, come to this restaurant. Under the castle wall, this restaurant is not the typical touristic place you can find elsewhere in Prague. The entrance is quite anonymous, but try the duck, or the lamb, and you'll find something which is far away... More

Wow. Great ambience and sincerely kind service. Perfect romantic dinner from a guy's point of view. Great dark beer and creamy mushroom soup. The meat was a bit bland, but the sausages tasty. Great prices. Thank you trip advisor for the recommendation!

You will find our restaurant in the very heart of Prague, in the place which inspired the famous romantic poet R.M. Rilke. The restaurant provides a calm oasis of gastronomical experience, worth discovering, in the busy, pulsing centre of the town. We build upon the very best of Czech gastronomical tradition. Our cuisine isn't based on extravagancies, but on a straight approach to Czech meals, the freshest local ingredients and humility to the culinary profession. The best proof is the satisfaction of our customers.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
