I have been back several times now; the coffee is really good, staff friendly and attentive, food tasty and well presented. I have tried sit in and also takeaway, exceeded expectations every time. I will definitely return to this place!

Their menu is changing every (?) week. However there is always a selection of certain small things, including quite a nice bagel with salmon. The wine selection by glass is nice-they have blanc de noir, orange and green wines. A good place to stop for a snack in Mala Strana.

The food was excellent. We got small plates and a salad as there only one option for main on the day we went. The chorizo octopus was brilliant as was the lime sorbet, the caesar had too much dressing but was okay. Staff avoided us I think as we were English speakers so they wanted one guy to deal with... Based on reviews i read on here I decided to give it a shot and was not disappointed. I had the poached egg on spinach and garlic and herb toast and a glass of orange juice (that was probably the best ive ever had!). The waiters were nice and spoke english. Better to make a reservation as the place is... More

Finally a decent coffee in Europe!!! Our coffee cravings were fully satisfied. We stopped here for lunch. The food was nice and well priced, but for us it was hard to trump the coffee

I got the ham and gouda omelette...it was very very good, but small (2 eggs I think?). Also got the semolina porridge...that was the best I've had in Prague! I much preferred this over Cafe Savoy. We sat in the courtyard...very nice setting!

We usually go here for breakfast, as they have very good options and we like the ambient. The coffee is excellent and diverse. Only minus is that you can only get a table with reservation (for breakfast at least). You cannot just walk by it and decide to stay for coffee or breakfast...

A lovely stop to rest tired feet after a day of walking and sight seeing. The single wafer cookie served in the side is a perfect munch with a delicious Affogato.

Really nice little place. Nice outdoor terrace to eat in. Coffees were great and my poached eggs with asparagus was good but the scrambled eggs were a miss. Cold sloppy mess on the plate. Also a side of mushrooms was 1 X 20c piece size half mushroom head. We saw other food that came out looking amazing so we may... More

My partner MB thinks she had the best Caesar salad of her life; I had the fish of the day (sea bass) and relished every delicious bite paired with an Austrian white wine (Grünerveltliner). The setting was idyllic: a charming, enclosed courtyard where smoking is not allowed. Cheers to enjoying a meal without someone's cigarette smoke ruining a nice dining... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
