It is amazing. The food is outstanding. I'm not vegetarian and I loved it. If I had this restaurant in my city, I'd be vegetarian! It is healthy, good, and in a very fair price!!!

We are vegetarian so while traveling in prague, were looking for a vegetarian restaurants there. This restaurant was very close to our hotel at buddha bar so walked in there without reservation. Eventhough they were packed, we were able to get a table very quickly. Service was excellent and food was very delicious. Will return again if we revisit prague.

I went to this place on 7th January around 3:15 PM. I am a vegetarian and was looking for a place to eat after visiting the Astronomical Clock at Old Town Square (was waiting until 3 PM for clock to buzz and got hungry!) I found this place and ordered a soup and Czech traditional Goulash followed by Aztec hot... More

We went here for lunch whilst on holiday in Prague after enjoying dinner at Maitrea's sister restaurant Clear Head. The food was just as good as at Clear Head (which we thought was great and really inexpensive) and the service was also great. Maitrea has a cafe style area upstairs but downstairs there is a larger restaurant area that is... More

My travel buddy and I are both vegetarians, so we were thrilled to find this place on our trip to Prague! Good food, and a great ambiance - very cozy and intimate feel, and right in the heart of the city. Definitely recommend!

The restaurant is quite spacious but I didn't like the style at all. Lots of weird wood and you feel like in forest cave. The menu is really big. A lot of drinks, a lot of food. I ordered an aloe Vera drink (yuk!) and a raw green soup which was so disgusting I couldn't eat all of it. Then... More

Nice restaurant in the middle of the old town with many vegetarian and also vegan dishes. Most of the vegetarian dishes can also be "veganised" easily. IMO there are a little bit to much substitute products for meat or fish. There is no need of this for vegans or vegetarians, maybe only for meat eater who accompanies you. The taste... More

We recently visited Prague and stumbled across this restaurant on the Saturday night, what can I say, it was so good we went back on the Sunday night. Food was excellent and the service was brilliant. Very friendly staff. Very cheap too for the amount of food you get. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone and I am a none... More

It really pains me to give this a 4 and not 5, given how brilliant the food was (especially the 'Maitrea' sharer selection of cold starters). The food here was really excellent, imaginative and tasty vegetarian/vegan cooking. But, as others have noted, the front of house service really let the kitchen down. We're sorry to read from others that this... More

It was a busy evening (New Year´s Eve) but we were given a nice table although we didn´t have a reservation. The menu is really great- they offer so many different kind of vegetarian dishes.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
