Very friendly and laid back place to eat and enjoy a drink. Not the fastest of service, but very welcoming and well worth the wait. Only just off the main street.

It was a mere miracle to find such a restaurant offering something light in the summer heat... It is decoretad inside by images of old aristocratic coat-of-arms pictured everywhere. Lovely. Also the service good, food and drinks; prices very good...

We were told about this restaurant by our Context Travel docent while walking in the Prague Castle district. It was a short walk from our hotel (Hotel Liberty) and it was what you might say is a "locals" place to go. Great service and you...should enjoy a very small menu.More

Small restaurant with big standards of excellence. Only a limited menu but the quality is second to none. Nothing else needs saying, go there and see for yourself.

Palace Lucerna has a rich history and this wonderful gem of a restaurant is part of it. We had a delicious lunch, the waiter was charming and helpful, the service, food and ambience all top notch. Bon Appétit!

I have been living and working in the city for three years now, and I can tell you there are but a few places in the very center of Prague without the omnipresent tourist air. 'Monarchie' is now on my secret map. Yesterday me and...my friend spent a delightful evening at this restaurant, complete with coffee, wine, delicious dinner, and a neo-noir twilight behind the window. Our waiter Alex was an excellent host. He knows a lot about European wines and local cuisine. Truly, now Monarchie is one of the places that come to my mind if I think of what that majestic air of Prague is about.More

We stopped here for dinner one night and would definitely recommend it. The food was really tasty and the place had a really nice cosy atmosphere to it. I had the Pork in a beautiful plum sauce followed by pancakes which were amazing. The raspberry...jam inside was just yumm. worth a visit if you are passing that way.More

Very cozy restaurant with great atmosphere. It was recommended to us by a local. While on holidays in the Czech Republic we want to experience the food and culture and this place ticks those boxes. Service was good and friendly. The portions were large. On...a cold winters night it is great comfort food and most importantly it was delicious. Couldn't fit in and desert may go back tomorrow and have a desert for afternoon tea.More

Had some fairly decent Czech food here but we were literally the only people in the place. Felt very strange. My pork was ok but came with potato croquettes that looked like they were straight form the freezer and no veg at all and my...partner's lamb wasn't very tender at all.More

We originally went there for the duck, but being a Monday evening there was none. We were the only ones there. The service was very good. My husband chose the pate in lard and lived bed it, followed by the lamb shanks. I had penne....We enjoyed our meal and our glass of Czech red wine. Would recommend trying it.More
