Great meal. Local ingredients with a touch of sophistication with a friendly service. Can equally go here for a beer, so really nice relaxed atmosphere

where to eat in Prague, and what to eat in Prague was the question on our mind when we visited Prague, with some research we located Vycep and tasted some traditional Czech food in this nice restaurant. Food in this restaurant is very delicious, we...really enjoyed the pickled Carp, we had some of the best Czech traditional food at restaurant Vycep, Czech cuisine is very rich in game and local produce from the forest, we enjoyed the mushrooms the pickled artichokes and the deer cooked in red wine. We happened to stumble upon this restaurant after going to beergeek. Honestly the best meal we have had in Prague! Two starters, two main, one pudding, 4 beers and all came to less than £50, I would have been very happy paying over double that....Amazing staff and just incredible food. I will be recommending this restaurant to everyone that comes to Prague.More

The visit took place on 30.11.2019 evening. Simple, modern, new equipment located in the pub. We tasted Dalesice 11 beer. We ate only tartar, but here I pause. According to the description of the food (I will not reveal) it would be a combination that...I would not dare myself data in other circumstances. But what they brought to us surprised all my imagination - perfectly served in style on the bones, the taste balanced, excellent. Unfortunately, we did not manage to taste the other meals because it was tasted for domestic spirits. But I must mention that the foundation of the kitchen is Old Czech with a new approach to essences and procedures. Proceed to the distillates. The name of domestic distillates I just used - it is a real home base of the quality palette and then followed by a variation of taste - celery, linden blossom, cinnamon, ginger ... I just have to write - fantastic. After all, it was a great service - whatever we asked about eaten, spirits, was willing and explained in detail. Definitive recommended.More

Recommended by a friend living in Prague, this is every visitor's dream! Described by my friend as Modern Czech, the food was creative and absolutely delicious! From my very first bite, I could tell that the kitchen had experience and talent. The steak tartare, the...best I've ever had, was full of smoky, spicy goodness and beautifully presented with toasted country bread. The grilled pork tongue in a thick reduction sauce was tender & delish! The savory donut served on the side was dusted with a powdered dill and stuffed with carmelized onions to dip into the sauce. I'm still dreaming of this dinner! The beer was great and the crowd, local and casual, were all Czech the night I was there. The prices for food this special were incredibly reasonable. I long for a restaurant like this in my neighborhood in San Francisco. This was a highlight of my visit to Prague!More

Having been to Field, La Boheme and Eska, I was unsure what to expect from this ‘out of the old town scene’ restaurant... let me tell you... it had some absolutely amazing dishes produced by a team that truly cares! The bone marrow and turkey...neck were standouts and their home made infusions were a nice change to the beer.More

Oh goodness! This place is not very economy-class, but it was something we've all been crying for! Delicious Czech food with a twist. You can tell the chef knows what he's doing: all meals are unique, some of them combine unexpected and at the first...glance incompatible ingredients, but the result is flawless in any case. They serve beer from the microbrewery Dalešické, offer a large variation of home-made spirits (also not short of unique flavours: cumin, celery, horseradish, or ginger) and even home-made kombucha. Výčep proves that great Czech cuisine doesn't have to be overwhelming or overcomplicated to be delicious. Simplicity is key. P.S. Gets crowded in the evening, but also worth checking during the lunchtime. And take your time!More
