Pauwel Kwak Bierhuis on Nádražní is a very good Belgium bar that offers a really good range of Belgium beers and was one of the many places we visited on a seven day trip to Prague. Located in Smíchov where there are many pubs/bars and...restaurants'this superb bar has a modern clean and fresh interior with lots of beer related items features and lots of good seating options. We visited here late in the evening and this superb bar was only a five minute's walk to our hotel.When we went into here it was so busy we just about got a table.On our visit we had a excellent Pauwel Kwak beer that comes in its own very distinct glass. The beers were excellent but a momentary loss of concentration by me resulted in the distinct glass smashing'my fault and I can't blame anyone which resulted in me paying 300 Czech Koruna for the glass.This didn't spoil my visit to here as we visited a couple of times during our stay in Prague. Wanted something special on my birthday and passed by. They are offering extremely large selection of Belgian beers for more than affordable prices. However local rules are crazy, e.g. giving out a shoe as a deposit for a large Kwak beer, while outside is freezing,...is a little weird custom. Moreover, the drafted beer is full of foam, bartender mixing old and new keg in one glass, etc. This would be something one would not expect in such a place.More

The restaurant is located in very convenient location , accessible by foot from Andel and very close to a tram stop. The highlight of my visit was the most definitely friendly atmosphere and warm service by every waiter. The restaurant staff was very knowledgeable and...willing to help as we were not able to decide what to choose from a very extensive beer menu 😊 interesting fact was to taste various types of beer served in a different beer glass 😊 The food was amazing , I had a selection of Belgian cheese platter and home-made pattee . This place has to show a lot. Every person can find a beer which would suit to his taste. Also what surprised me is that each beer has its own glass and coaster. When the crazy COVID period was not in place you could also...experience life music events in this bar. Here is definitely fun evening guarranteed!!More

One of the highest recommended destinations in Prague. A super great place and an incredibly friendly staff. Its very good location, near to big city buses station and a crossing with trams, generally right next to a big junction where the public transport goes to...every tourist attraction from. The interior is classy (elegant and minimalistic). Most of all they have tens of beers, one better than another. To be honest, generally my friends and I were a little bit bored with Kozel, Pilsner possible to get everywhere. We wanted to try something extraordinary and Pavel Kwak was our best choice to do that. We could ask for more bitter or more sweet kind, have a sip of beer and decide. The barman knew very well what he selled. Always there was at least one person who spoke English, but later we even saw that they wanted to help us so much so English was not necessary. At the end of our trip we finished each day at Kwak. The only thing we can regret is that we didn't discover it before.More

The evening went smoothly until it was the moment to pay. I stand up and went to bar tender to pay and he told me to go and download an app to pay by qr code. I went back to table and downloaded this (which...I have never heard before) but the app was giving me an error message and it didn't finish the transaction. So I want back to bar tender to tell him that the app was not working on my phone and ask him if there was another way to pay like cash or credit card. He replied that the app was the only way to pay the bill and that we had to make it work. So I went back to the table and my friends downloaded the app too and tried to pay with it. They also got the same error message. So I went back to the bar tender with money in my hand saying to him that the app was not working with none of our phones and if we could pay by cash. So rudely replied that it was not possible and that everyone paid with the app. So I said to him that we tried but the app was not working. He said again that he was not possible and he went to our table and he did a scene there,l throwing the app brucheaure on the table and talking down to us and yelling that we had to insert our credit card number in the app. Then he stormed away from the table. We tried again l, we got the error message again so we went with the phone to the bar to show it to him. He didn't believe us and he rudely replied that we had to insert our credit card (which we did already multiple times). So he made us do it again in front of him and we got the same error. At that moment his attitude totally and said that we could go withdraw money and paid by cash. So we replied that we had already asked him to pay by cash and he refused. He denied it and saying that it was all our fault and that we were the one who didn't understand. He never apologized for his rude behaviour and he was extremely rude and uncooperative during the all situation. He was not even listening to us. I had never had such a bad costumer experience in my all life. I was never treated so poorly and in such impolite and uncivilised way. It was the first time that I had problems because I wanted to pay the bill, and on top of that because I wanted to pay it by cash. The beers may be good but frankly it is not worthy of being treated that way.More

Wonderful choices of Belgian beers, 10+ draft and hundred other options. Beers are great, just a bit stronger. So better with friends than just for being thirsty.
