If you visit Prague, you must eat at this restaurant. I’m not usually a fan of pulled pork, but it was lovely here. Very friendly service. Highly recommend

Went there for a business dinner. There were 4 of us and each of us ordered different food. But each of us was equally amazed with excellent food and great service. Although it’s a little bit more expensive it’s definitely worth it.

Had the pleasure of visiting Prague for a 2nd time in the last 6 months. Gallery 44 was in my list to do again as I was so impressed by the first experience. Well David and his crew didn’t disappoint at all. The greeting was...again marvelous by David with a nice Prosecco and we (my family this time) were soon asked to go down to our table. Everyone decided to go for the tasting menu from the Mexican chef (strongly suggest) and we were delighted with every single service of this 5 course menu. My favorite was the pulled pork that was so tender and tasty in the Chiposo sauce. I’ve got a big appetite and once I was done I was full... sometimes tasting menus can leave you hanging... not at Gallery 44. The wine pairing was also perfect. Quick mention to Elena that made our evening with constant attention with her great service. As I said this was my second visit and you can be sure there will be a 3rd one. This place is a real gem! This was our favorite place that we dined in Prague. Not only were you greeted at the door but taken care of from beginning to end. The food was incredible. I had the duck and my husband had the lamb. We shared a dessert of...bacon ice cream that I am still dreaming about. A young combo sang and played the keyboard and you could still talk and enjoy the music. I loved the decor and the service was outstanding.More

visited on 23/02/2020 Twice a year (on our birthdays to be exact) we indulge in the extravagance of fine dining. For this purpose I don't think we could have picked a better place than Gallery 44. I would struggle to fault anything on the evening....The staff - without exception - were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, which included the lovely live music. We enjoyed the degustation menu with a mexican touch from Fernando Hernando Ruiz. Not one single course had a flaw. And this included the bacon ice cream with sweet potato, which I was sceptical about, but which must now rank among my favourite desserts. Special call out to the sommelier, whose wine choices really added to each course. I liked that the wines were mostly mexican and czech.More

Exceptional quality of food in a relaxed yet intriguing space. Fine dining can often be pretentious but this was not the case as we were treated to warm, attentive service throughout our stay. Dishes were thoughtfully executed and the beef fillet was a real highlight....Probably the best beef dish I've ever had!More

Well, what can I say about this most beautiful, amazing and friendly restaurant? Simply fantastic all round. We visited Prague for the Christmas markets and spent an evening at this wonderful restaurant. The food was out of this world, the hosts and waiting staff were...wonderful and then there was the amazing David, he works tirelessly to ensure each and every guest of his has a unique and special experience. He took so much time with everyone it was very nice to see. He was friendly, polite, knowledgeable and showed a genuine interest in all of his guests. The food was absolutely out of this world, the drinks were prepared very professionally and I found the price to be exceptionally reasonable. Then the venue itself is a literal work of art, set in a beautiful cave surrounded by unique sculptures and paintings! David, you and your restaurant made our trip, thank you - we will absolutely be back visiting!More

Chose this restaurant mostly due to the inclusion of an octopus dish on the menu. I love octopus and rarely find it. The dining room in the basement is lovely and the service is very good. However, I felt the prices were over the top...for a slightly underwhelming meal. To be fair, expectations were high, given the high price point, but overall I feel it wasn't worth it. For example, other restaurants had beautiful local wines starting at a much lower price point and they might even have been superior to the wine we chose here. The octopus dish I had longed for was a bit dry in texture. The octopus itself was perfectly cooked, but the dish, for me, needed some extra liquid on the plate. My dessert, on the other hand, was lovely. Perfect. Whilst my partner didn't enjoy his dessert, his main course was truly amazing. I wonder if we'd have had a different opinion had we chosen the tasting menu, however, at that price, I wasn't willing to take the risk of disappointment. I would like to add that I am happy to pay expensive restaurant prices if the food is amazing, but in this case I feel my money could have been spent more wisely. Have eaten in Michelin star restaurants for much less money, so I think that adds to my sense of feeling a little ripped off as a touristMore

Our First time in Prague was filled with many nights enjoying great food and drinks. Gallery 44 was by far the most memorable night of them all, possibly one of the best Dining experiences I have had to date. On arrival, we were greeted by...a warm reception from David. He instantly made us feel welcomed and relaxed. David took a moment to chat with us briefly before leading us down stairs to the cloakroom where he took our coats and then guided us past the open kitchen into the restaurant and to our table. The setting and ambiance of the restaurant was perfect. A beautiful 12th Century building surrounded by stunning pieces of art. The food itself was delicious, a real treat. Although we opted to dine from the Á la Carte we would have loved to sample the all of the dishes featured on the Degustation Menu, and would happily return just to do so at some point. The service we recieved was impeccable from all the staff, friendly yet professional. Our waitress even retrieved the cork from our bottle of wine after we forgot to ask to keep it straight away, a keepsake from the night and a great addition to our little collection. After our meal ended we were invited to take a moment to enjoy departing drinks with David once more. I honestly cannot recommend this restaurant any more highly...a must visit location.More
