Dinner in La Finestra was a pleasant, unhurried experience and unlike one or two other commentators we had absolutely no problems with the staff who were as attentive as they needed to be without being aggressively so. Earlier in the day we had lunched in La Bottega and this restaurant clearly tries to set itself apart, but I am not... More

We live in NYC and are used to great Italian food. La Finestra is right up there. Good service, good ingredients, creative approaches. Best meal we had in Prague.

We tried to eat in the restaurant but the availability did not fit with our plans so the manager walked us to their next door deli and booked us our choice of table there for later. The food their was excellent and so the next day we were not going to miss a change to eat at La Finestra to... More

The most condescending and arrogant waiter I've ever had. The food was hit and miss. The salad was great, but the pasta (Italian restaurant) was undercooked and entirely too sweet and over complicated. We had a steak for two, which was very well prepared. Our waiter was dismissive, ignored us most of the time and completely ruined our chance of... More

Dear Mr.Darr, It never happen to me, but this time I am not sure what to say. As Guest Relation Manager of La Finestra I can honestly state that the whole staff does its best to create a nice atmosphere and serve great food. I am very well aware that we are not perfect, not at all. We do a... More

I had dinner in this restaurant last year, and this year we went again. Still very good, superb food, lovely service, just wonderful experience not to miss when in Prague.

Although recommended to us by friends and the hotel we were reluctant to visit since we were headed to Italy the following day. We are so happy that we followed the advice of others. La Finestra is as good as it gets---food, service and wine. My wife who is a great Italian cook that the cacio e pepe pasta dish... More

Service was ok , food was quite average and mainly dispointing it is not bad but it is not briliant either. We might have been unlucky but there is better places in prague that will garante you success for this price.

I attended this restaurant knowing it would be really good. However, the service and the dishes exceeded my expectations!!! It was an outstanding evening with attentive waiters, and delicious food and incredible wine too! Enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone that loves foods and high quality !

Our family had a wonderful and memorable meal at La Finestra. The waiters were attentive and helpful and the food was absolutely delicious. We had a pasta dish to start with a lovely savory sauce. For our main course my husband and son had a wonderful steak dish that they had chosen from the large platter of meats that were... More

We went there for dinner. The food was really good, but the selection was not very diverse. All dishes are complicated to don't expect to eat normal pasta. Waiters were not very friendly, but nothing major. Recommended.

Description
La Finestra in Cucina was opened in 2009 as the second restaurant of Italian chef Riccardo Lucque. The restaurant features an open kitchen where you can observe Chef Tomáš Černý performing his artistry as he prepares your chosen meal. La Finestra specializes in meat dishes. Beside the culinary experience, La Finestra wants to build the largest wine cellar of quality Italian wines in the Czech Republic. The adapted wine cellar was installed for this purpose.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
