We made sure we reserved a restaurant for our last night on our trip to Prague as it was a Saturday. La Finestra was simply sensational! A great welcome and we were given a good table. The service from the outset was first class. The food was wonderful and the wine list was one of the most comprehensive I have... More

We weren't quite prepared when we chose this restaurant - I had read that it was good, but I didn't know that it was REALLY GOOD, perhaps at a higher level than what we were expecting. Our waiter Jan made us very comfortable, even though we were a bit out of our element. The food was amazing, and the service... More

We have been a party of five - business friends who were looking for a casual but class atmosphere - BULLSEYE! We had a very friendly welcome by the team. Once seated, the service - for food with introduction of meat qualities and fresh fish offer or the great explanations of the sommelier - was given and perfect. Close but... More

Excellent restaurant, excellent food and excellent service. But my special thanks to sommelier - amazing wine selection and very reasonable price. Today's bottle of Jacques Selosse substance it's like first class ticket to heaven! Just find a gem in Prague!

Our hotel concierge recommended the restaurant and made the reservation but when we arrived, clearly the were not prepared for a 24 people group: limited dishes were offered, not even pasta for everybody, service wasn't good. Some people had to settle with dishes they may not prefer. Food was OK, but at the end, overall it wasn't a good experience.

We visited here New Years Day evening and were promptly greeted and seated upon arriving at our reservation time. The service was very professional and we both enjoyed our appetizers, salads and entrees. Would highly recommend for a special evening out!

This is actually a recommend Italian restaurant by my hotel concierge and it’s located on the way to Old Town from Mala Strana. It’s a big on the higher end side but feels very homey. The decor is very chic with a industrial feel to it and leaves it pretty warm and cozy. Food is not bad.

Driven by the good reviews we ended up in this restaurant. 1st impression : very poor menu soup was nothing special and too expensive approz 8 euroes Pasta was also overpriced and nothing special. A small appetizer in a spoon that was offered tasted like ... nothing. Barbaresco wine was ok, nothing special though.

We had a superb meal in La Finestra on our first evening in Prague. Service was impeccable and every dish was delicious. While not cheap by Prague standards it is very cheap by Fine dining standards. In London or New York a meal of this quality would cost at least twice as much. Thoroughly recommended.

Description
La Finestra in Cucina was opened in 2009 as the second restaurant of Italian chef Riccardo Lucque. The restaurant features an open kitchen where you can observe Chef Tomáš Černý performing his artistry as he prepares your chosen meal. La Finestra specializes in meat dishes. Beside the culinary experience, La Finestra wants to build the largest wine cellar of quality Italian wines in the Czech Republic. The adapted wine cellar was installed for this purpose.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
