This is actually a recommend Italian restaurant by my hotel concierge and it’s located on the way to Old Town from Mala Strana. It’s a big on the higher end side but feels very homey. The decor is very chic with a industrial feel to it and leaves it pretty warm and cozy. Food is not bad.

Driven by the good reviews we ended up in this restaurant. 1st impression : very poor menu soup was nothing special and too expensive approz 8 euroes Pasta was also overpriced and nothing special. A small appetizer in a spoon that was offered tasted like ... nothing. Barbaresco wine was ok, nothing special though.

We had a superb meal in La Finestra on our first evening in Prague. Service was impeccable and every dish was delicious. While not cheap by Prague standards it is very cheap by Fine dining standards. In London or New York a meal of this quality would cost at least twice as much. Thoroughly recommended.

Great selection of tasty international and Czech meals and wines, very pleasant staff, strategic location in Old Town . Prices rather high but worth the quality.

Very nice loft-like ambient, excellent service, menu very limited, food a bit too heavy on presentation for Italian fare, trying to justify a price mark? Altogether a nice experience - once

The food was great and wine list is really impressive! Unfortunately our feelings went down because of messy and a bit rude service. Introduction of the menu was confusing and when our dishes came they weren't introduced at all. Finally, reminding about tip at the end of the dinner is not really polite.

Excellent service, excellent wine and superb Italian cuisine! This was one of my favorite restaurants while staying in Prague. The restaurant itself is beautiful and impeccably clean. Please do yourself a favor and come visit this restaurant!

Great place, the general quality of restaurants isn't that great in Prague, but here is right at the top... mainly the quality of ingredients, I was shocked at how good they were.. I had duck ravioli with truffle, venison ragu, and guinea fowl... some of the best Italian food I've ever had, and at a fair price.. I'm not much... More

We accidentally passed by and drop in for lunch. I ordered a starter and a main course, while my friend who is not so hungry just ordered his pasta in a starter portion. However, we were pleasantly surprised when the waiter came back with a complimentary appetizer for my friend. The food was really good. We made a right choice... More

La Finestra in Cucina was opened in 2009 as the second restaurant of Italian chef Riccardo Lucque. The restaurant features an open kitchen where you can observe Chef Tomáš Černý performing his artistry as he prepares your chosen meal. La Finestra specializes in meat dishes. Beside the culinary experience, La Finestra wants to build the largest wine cellar of quality Italian wines in the Czech Republic. The adapted wine cellar was installed for this purpose.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
