You step in a casual chic atmosphere restaurant, where you will see international and locals people. La finestra has decided to focus on premium sourcing fresh product. You can straight away see quality of meal served there. From top end meat to perfectly cooked fish, everything there looks fantastic. Exceptional italian wine list.

La Finestra is a great Italian restaurant close to Charles Bridge. It is cosy, with a nice red-brick interior, and the staff is very friendly and competent. We had dinner there, and as they had sold out the fish then, we decided to go back the next day for lunch. Even better the second time around. Everything is fresh and... More

We were recommended this restaurant by the wonderful woman in the equally wonderful shop Parazit. The food -fresh seabass for two, the wine - the sommelier's choice to go with white truffles, the after dinner - limoncello. Perfection.

A very nice restaurant with a genuine italian touch. Heard about the restaurant through a friend who lives in Prague. We were so satisfied with the lunch service, that we came back the next day for dinner. The staff was very friendly and service-minded. The customer always came first. The fish soup was the best I've ever tasted, and the... More

Great service, above average, but not that refined plates, and rather expensive. The dining experience was after all ok, however I have doubts showing the fresh pieces of meat at the guest's table is a good idea. It turned me off choosing meat, knowing it has been all around the restaurant already. Free amuse gueule and digestive.

Dear 6Bert6, Thank you for visiting La Finestra and for the positive rating. We are happy to read that you had a good experience and that you liked the food. You and I are among the minority of people who do not like to see the food at the table. I don't like it either but I have to admit... More

If you are looking for great food, make your reservations here early! This is a very popular restuarant and reservations fill up quick so reserve before or right when you get into Prague. Everything here was great from the pasta, to the wine, to the ambiance. Again I cannot stress this enough, don't even try just walking into this place.

Small, cozy authentic-looking Italian restaurant. Menu is extensive as well as the wine list. Sommelier is talkative and expressive, but wasn’t crazy about his wine selection. Appetizers are small but well prepared and flavorful. Salads were good. Bread was ok, as some of it was clearly sitting out for a bit – not something I would expect in a place... More

Hello Cohibaba, Grazie for visiting La Finestra! We are very happy to read that you enjoyed the food and the atmosphere of our restaurant. We have a lot of wines by the glass available for tasting everyday: ask the talkative sommelier to try them and choose the one (or more than one) perfect for your next meal. If you consider... More

We chose this place because of the phenomenal reviews. I will say the service here was incredible and very personalized. We also were treated extras from the chef that we did not order. It was quite a treat. Presentation was good but, for me, the food combinations weren't that tasty. But if given the chance, I would try this place... More

A unique Italian restaurant in that they bring you whole fish and cuts of beef to choose for your meal. It is more than just an Italian restaurant. We thought the food quality in Prague was outstanding and this restaurant did not disappoint. They have a wine expert who comes to your table and recommends wines based on your preferences.... More

Dear Bob, Thank you for visiting La Finestra. It was our pleasure to have you and we are glad that you enjoyed the food, the wine and the atmosphere. Description
La Finestra in Cucina was opened in 2009 as the second restaurant of Italian chef Riccardo Lucque. The restaurant features an open kitchen where you can observe Chef Tomáš Černý performing his artistry as he prepares your chosen meal. La Finestra specializes in meat dishes. Beside the culinary experience, La Finestra wants to build the largest wine cellar of quality Italian wines in the Czech Republic. The adapted wine cellar was installed for this purpose.

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
