Excellent food, really good prices, its not as crowded as you would expect considering that is right next to charles bridge and great service. highly recommend the schnitzel, the beef tartar and the fried cheese
A great place to visit although only beer taken at this opportunity a great pilsner & wine. The food the diners were eating looked hearty and authentic certainly there were no grumpy faces. Get off the main drag and visit here for a real ‘lokal’...More
This place was amazing. The menu changes slightly everyday and we went back several times during our trip as it was so good. Traditional style food, meat and dumplings were amazing. My husband family is Czech and he grew up on this type of food...More
Our personal tour guide recommended this location of Lokal for excellent local food.
We arrived around 8 pm and waited approximately 20 minutes for a seat in the small seating area while enjoying a local beer.
We enjoyed tartar with fried bread and roast beef...More
This location was recommended to us by our hotel. When we arrived around 17:30, it was already quite full and they could not seat us at street level. However, they took us inside and downstairs to more seating where there are brick walls, curved archways,...More
Time-tested quality of the Lokal concept still offers above average service and fantastic beer. You can get decent food anytime when open. While it is very close to the “tourist higway” at the Charles bridge, the prices are still fine. You can stay inside as...More
We enjoyed out first meal in Prague very much. This place was recommended by our Air B&B host; he says he likes to eat there. It is full of Czechs and a few tourists. The pork schnitzel and potato salad were excellent. The server was...More
I had the chicken breast and radish salad. Chicken was salty. Plenty of dressing but it was light -good since it was 90 outside today. I had to get the bread dumplings as I love them and they are hard to find in the US....More
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch
shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
