In a solo business trip I wanted to eat something "local". The restaurant is out of the main touristic circuit and it is mainly populated by local people. I went for the "Czech specialties" and decided for a goulash followed by pancake with berries. Limited...choice in the menu, but very fast service. Dishes well presented and tasty. Personnel helpful (despite they don't speak English, but they have the menu in English). Half a liter draft beer costs like a cappuccino (!!!) 45 CZK (3 Euro). No Wi-Fi available. Price/quality ratio exceptional. If you are looking for simple (not sophisticated) dishes, it is absolutely recommended.More

This was an absolutely fantastic traditional authentic Czech pub we chanced upon as we were wandering around the Holešovice neighbourhood in the Praha 7 district and what a great find. A wonderful interior ,a spotlessly clean main room,a nice looking serving bar, great decor and...furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, it's a great pub to unwind in. We were here on a Saturday evening, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff, we luckily managed to get a table, we ordered a beer each and opted to have pilsner urquell beer while we checked out the menu, beers were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and as is the traditional in Prague with a big foamy head, for our meals I went for fried cheese and fries while my brother went for stuffed potatoes, after a short wait our meals arrived and what a treat. My fried cheese meal was absolutely fantastic, ok I know it's not great for you but it is so tasty and goes with a beer so well ,my twin brother loved his meal and coupled with our delicious beers made for a wonderful dining experience in a great pub. We really enjoyed our meal & beers in here before we moved on and for a first time visit we were very impressed with Domazlicka Jizba. Domazlicka Jizba is easy to locate, you can jump tram number 1.2.12.14.25 to tram stop Strossmayerovo Námestí, it's just near the magnificent Kostel Svatého Antonina Paduanskeho ( Church Of St Anthony Of Padua ) . Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, 11am till Midnight. A great pub, well worth checking out if your in the area.More

In great place on Strossmayers square near tram station there is this local spot, that offers daily menu until late evening, serves delicious pilsner beer into cooled glass and has such incredible service, you sometimes get your meal within 5 minutes after ordering. This place...serves typical local food. I believe it has some vegetarian choices (grilled cheese, salad, sweet dumplings filled with blueberries), but I wouldn't bet on vegan ones. Great for meal & beer with family or friends. Dog friendly. Vintage interior.More

This place is supposed to be quite popular among local people. And indeed it has three highlights: the location (Letna is really nice and if you sit on a terrace you will have the beautiful Church of St. Anthony of Padua right in front of...you), the food (simple but very tasty Czech cuisine) and the price (pork/chicken meal for dinner incl. one drink cost us less than 10 EUR!). What a difference when comparing to those overpriced restaurant in the Prague centre!More

The service was decent. I didn't like that they didn't return the bread when I aksed them to, only after I specifically asked the waiter to tell me the cost of it. He returned it(20 czk crowns) Otherwise, the beer is great, the food is...cheap , tasty and well done.More

This restaurant is a very authentic, non touristic place. They offer well prepared Czech cuisine. The biggest asset of this restaurant is their lunch menu. For a very reasonable price (around 110 Czk), you get a good main dish, sometimes even a fresh fish! Definite...recommendation.More

Terrible place, it is smokehouse with terrible beer, so you smell like ashtray and feel bad from bad beer. Toilets from middle ages. I am native and i hate this kind of pub. Be aware, dont go there.More

Domazlicka Jizba is a nice place, a bit outside of downtown Praha. We went there on a very cold day coming bck from the National Gallery. Only one room, smokers and non-smokers, simple. Good variety of beers and food (menu in English). The meat we...had was actually nothing special.More

Lunch menu simple yet good. Ordered goulash and sirloin with a beer and cider. Beer bacon was good: thick cut but tender.

The food was good. Goulash was a bit blunt. The waitress looked a bit annoyed when I have asked for the English menus after bringing the Czech ones.

This place reminds me one of these good old motorests, which you can still find around a highway and stop by for a lunch. Jizba looks like classic Czech hospoda, which it basically is. I liked the beer there – Pilsner Urquell + some other...brands Prazdroj portfolio – and was quite satisfied with the food there. The soup was somehow tasteless, but the goulash was... well goulash. Fair enough. I Can't really remember the service quality there, which is also somewhat telling.More
