visited here with my friend during our 3 day stay in Prague. Had an absolutely fantastic meal with great service. We ordered a basmati rice a chilli and garlic naan which was phenomenal, the best naan we’ve ever had. The butter chicken was splendid, along...with chicken khani, we can’t recommend enough. We’re British so we love Indian food, 5/5 would definitely come back or recommend to a friend visiting Prague. All staff were friendly, drinks were nice too, 10/10 from us.More

For what was a full meal it was very very reasonable. For the two of us we got the full works and the food was fantastic. Would highly recommend for anyone who likes Indian food

Not sure if we went on an off day, but our food was average at best. Ordered the popadoms and they had a burnt taste. The Onion Bhajis were probably the best thing we ate; they at least tasted ok. We ordered a Chicken tikka...masala, tasteless. Chicken Korma, really odd minty taste, we didn’t finish it. A chicken Kadhai, med spicy as described, not much chicken and a Prawn Makhani, tasted like tomato soup and had 5 small prawns. Pesawari naan, looked good on the outside but was greasy and had a strange tomato flavour inside. Waiter was very polite but only cleared half the table and never returned until my husband went to the counter for the bill. Wanted to love it but all in all, we were all disappointed and wouldn’t return.More

Really lovely food! Service was great and staff were so friendly, food was delicious and prices were very reasonable! I would highly recommend a visit here if you’re visiting Prague or live here. We chose Indian because I’d eaten too much schnitzel and pizza, and...fancied something different! The food really is up there with one of the best curries we’ve had. Delicious food, pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. We had vegetable samosas, Chicken Kurma and Chicken Vindalo [very spicy!] - everything was great! Highly recommended. :)

My partner and I ate at this marvelous little restaurant on successive nights during our recent holiday to Prague. She is a British born Punjabi and I'm a born and bred West Midlander so it's fair to say that we know a good bit about...Indian food between us. My partner is vegetarian, and I think it's reasonable to suggest that Czech cuisine is a tad bare in this respect, so the Taaj was a Godsend. The menu might be seen as limited when compared to some of our Curry Houses but there is certainly something on it to tempt every taste. My partner championed the foods authenticity and described it as being 'homemade' which is high praise indeed whereas it was a trip down memory lane for me as my Chicken Madras was very reminiscent of the curries I enjoyed back in the 1980's. The naan was one of the very best we've both ever had. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable and happy to make recommendations, the atmosphere very laid back and the decor just the right side of kitsch. The service was speedy and accurate. We cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.More
