We had the tasting menu and it was absolutely excellent. Can't sing the praises of this chef enough, and for such a reasonable price. Service, etc. all great too. A really great meal with a huge range of flavours.
We wanted to have a good meal for a birthday whilst on a weeks visit.
Very smart and relaxing with friendly staff prepared to discuss what is required.
The price may be a little more than general Prague restaurants but compared to England it is...still very good value.
Good selection of dishes with choices including traditional Czech dishes.
The food may not be as adventurous as some places like to be but the tasting menu was very good and we had an excellent evening.
Lots of small cafes and restaurants in this area of Prague and this is probably the best. Definitely visit if you are staying in this area.More
We were there with 2 kids and the kids wanted fish. They did not bother recommending one fish for them, neither what size was the fish. We ended up paying 30euro per fish and had the leave almost one full fish in the plate. The...service was very slow, even if there were almost no people in the restaurant. We waited 45+ minutes for food. Very bad, never again.More
Although a bit expensive it is worth the visit for the quality and the type of food, completely different to what you can normally find in Prague. I had the tasting menu which was 6 courses for 895 kc (more than enough for one person)....They have a very nice and quite terrace in the back. The service is nice and polite. Definitely going back.More
So, we have been here before, and have always been pleased with the food and service. Quite pricey, but worth it.
Yesterday, we walked in, and we're bugged three times about ordering an aperitif before we even open the menu. The restaurant was empty, 6.30...pm. There were no vegetarian options at all. I asked about the mussels, and was told they were off that evening.
I ordered salad nicoise, my wife the quail, a beer for me and white wine for the lady.
Both beer and wine tasty. Salad good, nice poached egg on top. Quail came as a sort of sausage filled with a foamy stuffing. Contained a bone. My wife was not impressed.
As we were eating, another table filled up next to us. They were told the mussels were on the menu. (in Czech. But I do speak Czech)
Took ages to get a member of the wait staff to ask for the bill, and an equal age to get them to take the money away.More
This is a little hidden gem of the Prague food scene. Fairly priced high end european restaurant.
One of the best value for money places in Prague.
Best Nicoise salad I have ever had, great steaks, soups. Pretty much everything over here is great.
Food: incredible. Classics with a local twist. Carefully selected ingredients. MANGALITSA PORK OMG. Good Czech white wine. Desserts excellent.
Price: very reasonable considering quality
Atmosphere: lovely garden. Well-behaved-kid-friendly
We visited with 2 local friends who knew the restaurant well. I was determined to eat 'local' and ideally a dish with dumplings of some type and managed to find both a main (venison) and a desert (cherry stuffed dumpling) that were local specialities. The...desert was indeed pretty unique ... and tasty! Deer likewise. Mains don't come with veg, just the principle ingredient - by far the best side ordered was the smoked mashed potato ... makes me drool just to think of it! We had good Moldavian wines with the food and all in all the meal was pretty perfect. We ate after 3pm and were the only folk there at that hour so can't speak for how well it copes when busy...
Highly recommend this place to both locals and visitors. Cost-wise, nowhere in Prague is pricey when used to Euros or GBP prices in other capital cities! Good value for the food even in local CzK.More
