We are a quiet wine bar with a friendly staff. We focus to the small family winemakers from Moravia and Bohemia producing original and organic wine and from the world. A friendly, family wine bar and shop. Full with locals, we were the only travellers, and with only a Czech menu Petr and his staff were very helpful in helping us to translate (sort of!) and choose what small plates to eat with our wine - and very tasty they were. We chose a local 2008 Pinot Noir to drink which, as kept in the cellar, Petr decanted to breathe and open up. Very good wine, after which a coffee and rum (good whisky and rum selection too!) to see us on our way to our hotel close by. Reasonable price for what we had, too. One question, Petr - do the locals always prefer white wine? We were the only ones drinking red that evening! Thanks for looking after us so well.

Greetings to wine lovers.
Thank you for a nice review. As far as wine consumption is concerned, people usually prefer red in winter. So, it is a mystery to me, that everyone drank white that evening :-) I am very glad that PN 2008 was in great shape and that you enjoyed our wine bar. I will look forward to the next meeting. My wife was scouting out the area near our hotel on our last evening in Prague and discovered a small wine bar that looked appealing. We stopped to visit and discovered that they offered a large variety of local and international wines to savor. They also offered small plates of food to try. We ordered glasses of Czech rose and a cheese platter with nuts and olives. We enjoyed the quiet ambiance accompanying the food and local wine. The hostess, Jennifer, was also very attentive and helpful during our short stay.....worth an extra gratuity on our way out. We would revisit Vinoteca if we were to return to Prague and would try some of their other offerings. The value pricing and service were a treat for our tired feet.

Popped in. Left without ordering. Primarily because a couple had a fight while we were in and it didn’t meet our expectations. Shame. Has promise. Needs some music. And sea lions!

Thank you for your review and I hope you can tell us what was wrong. We like to improve. Sea lions are not yet able to serve and music plays every day. We went to a wine tasting here and Petr, the owner, kindly arranged for a translator. It was a great experience and an interesting introduction to Czech wines. Petr is a great host and extremely knowledgeable about wines and spirits.The bar has a relaxing vibe, the staff are friendly and the service is very good. There were many locals here which is a good sign. Would definitely go back.

Surprisingly pleasant place. Many local (Czech) winemakers and foreign wines. Wine snacks, pleasant service, a large selection of rum, whiskey etc. at reasonable prices .. we recommend!

We went for a drink and came out surprised. A quiet place to snack. We got several portions and quantity and price, very happy. Pleasant attention although the language was a problem. Place to repeat.
