Being an Italian fella is always hard to find a good Italian restaurant in a foreign country. T/Bistro (formerly da Tarquinio) in one of the few restaurant in Prague that actually offers authentic Italian food. If you are into Italian food and you are in...Prague, you definitely can't miss this place. You can sip a good glass of wine, while enjoying a traditional Italian pinsa ( roman style pizza) or a dish of pasta, or one of their wonderful selections of appetizers (ask for a tagliere). The atmosphere is sophisticated, but also chilled out at the same time. The new owners who just took over the restaurant are very nice and cheerful. The staff is very attentive and professional and the service is nearly perfect. The restaurant is conveniently located in Wenceslas Square, right in front of the statue of saint Wenceslas and can hardly be missed. A must go if you are looking for real Italian food in Prague.More

was in the mood for italian and found this lovely restaurant on the main strip of shops. Staff were so lovely and welcoming and gave us a “present” of oiled bread with salt. The food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious! Their cannoli were...so good had to go back the next day for more!More

As part of our walk in New Town district of Prague and passing by amazing Wenceslas Square, we stopped at Da Tarquinio Bistro Italiano for lunch. Our expectations were high based on great Tripadvisor reviews of the place and we were not disappointed. It has...a cozy and friendly atmosphere with super friendly staff. We were lucky that there was no waiting and we were seated promptly. We were greeted by our nice and friendly waiter and were offered with complimentary delicious bread with their own house olive oil. Really nice. we ordered a few types of pizzas with house wine and Italian beer and we truly enjoyed our lunch. The pizza was excellent with high quality ingredients. The price was reasonable and we highly recommend Da Tarquinio Bistro. Go there and enjoy a delicious pizza!More

Myself and my friend visited here on our trip to Prague, Pizza is beautiful, however the interior lets the place down slightly as it is very very bright and quite like a deli style layout. Staff were very friendly.

Having just arrived in Prague for a NYE stay, we were excited to try da Tarquinio after seeing the great reviews on TripAdvisor. When we arrived, the restaurant was full with around 6 people waiting to be seated. We were not acknowledged until about 5...minutes after arriving when we approached the staff to enquire about a take away option. The staff were friendly but disappointing to have been ignored until this point. Given the busyness we order a takeaway gluten-free chilli and aioli pasta and a pesto linguine with a selection of cheeses as a sharer. The food was prepared within around 20 minutes but we were very disappointed with the quality as both meals were small portions and had almost no sauce. We could barely taste the pesto and the only positive was that the pasta itself was fresh. 2 pastas and a (small) cheese selection cost approximately Kc750. Perhaps we were unlucky with the selection of dishes but confused as to why the high rating. Would not go back.More

Ate here twice with my husband and appreciated both the service and the cuisine! We’re Italians and never eat at Italian’s when abroad, but Tarquinio was hard to resist! Most honest prices in Prague even though the quality of the ingredients is the finest!

Stumbled across this restaurant at the top of Wenceslas Square. Greeted warmly and offered a choice of tables. Excellent choice of Italian cuisine, I went for a pizza, the base was unlike anything I have had before....and believe me I have eaten a few pizzas...in my time! Whilst browsing the menu we were given complimentary bread with their own olive oil, wow! Everything was excellent and very affordable. Highly recommended.More

I ended up eating here twice within a weekend and the second experience was just as good as the first. All of the food was exceptional and the staff were great. On each occasion, there were Italian people also eating there which is a testament...to the restaurant. I'd definitely return when I visit Prague again.More
