We ate here for 2 of our 3 nights stay after being recommended by the hotel reception. Excellent Czech food, with a good range of dishes and a fabulous atmosphere. Excellent value for money and awesome service.

It was very close to my hotel and I decided to try it. Nice rustic restaurant. Excellent beer. Chicken breast was one of the best I have ever had. Service was good.

My wife and I were in here by chance a few weeks ago. First impression - our waiter who had long hair and a serious beard was wonderful. He was extremely helpful (as we only speak English and were only going to be in the...city for 2 days). He was also very welcoming and funny. We ordered the two soups to start with. My onion soup was very good. My wife had the other soup which was excellent. She also ordered the goulash which was also very good. The highlight was the beef tartare, which was the best beef dish I have ever eaten, though I really did not understand why it comes with either 6 or 12 slices of garlic toast. The toast was good, but I only wanted to devour the tartare (maybe with 2 pieces of toast on the side). If I ever get to Prague again, then I will be sure to stop in here for another wonderful meal.More

This was my first visit to Zlaty Klas but it certainly won't be my last. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, interior is cool ,great decor and furnishings exposed brickwork and plenty of seating options,a great restaurant to chill out in....On our visit we were here only for drinks,we were greeted amped seated,as we had just ate we were only here for beers, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and served with the distinctive foamy head so characteristic of the way Czech beer is poured. My beer was really good ,a light, hoppy and unpretentious lager style beer bursting with taste, very refreshing,so tasty,it was just so good being in such a lovely restaurant enjoying a quality brew. We really enjoyed our beers in here ,only stayed for the one each before we moved on and for a first time visit we were totally impressed with this restaurant which is easy to locate along Plzenska in the Smichov District,Praha 5.More

Had seen this little restaurant across the way from our hotel and after checking out the menu during the day decided we'd have our last meal there. Czech food at a very decent price, happy days. We went in and it was busy. We stood...there like lemons for a couple of minutes not really sure if you got seated or took a place yourself. There was a waiter hurrying around, so thinking hes busy we spoke to the lady at the bar and she said she would find us a table but food would probably be an hour. I had already decided what I wanted and my Mum has difficulty walking, especially after she's been dragged around castles and monuments all day, so we thought why not lets just get a drink and wait, an hour was fine. Drinks came very quickly, happy days. Food came within 20 minutes rather than the projected hour. Was she trying to deter us from eating there when she said an hour or was she buying herself time? Who knows. Food was delicious and tasty, really enjoyed it. Portion size was decent and it was very flavoursome. Waiter was good at refilling drinks. I asked for the dessert menu and he literally rolled his eyes at me which was a little mean. There was no cake and only ice cream so i said i didnt want a dessert but could we please get a cappuccino. After about 5 minutes it was apparent a cappuccino was never going to come. So i asked for the bill when i got another eyeroll in reply. He went past the table several more times and even took my empty drink but still no bill. Put my coat on, no bill. So i worked out the bill and just left the money and went. Maybe he had a bad day? I dont know but i didnt do anything to warrant it. Maybe they dont like English people? I dont like English people either sometimes but we werent rude. Im not really sure what it was but we felt unwanted which is a shame. I had dismissed the initial ladys comment on it being really busy but maybe they just didnt want our custom. Terrible shame as everyone else weve encountered have been helpful and friendly.More

According to other comments Asians always have bad experiences here. Today we went for a drink and yeah it’s true they literally not friendly to Asians. We entered the restaurant nobody was attending us(they all saw we standing there waiting ), then we walked to...the counter to ask if they have table for 2. One of the waiters said ‘ yeah there’re small tables go take ‘ with a poker face . The lady standing inside the bar counter rolled her eyes to me and turned her body back . Me and my friend left the restaurant right away. The worst experience in Prague. Super rude to foreigners( I guess only ASIAN。 非常不开心的经历,和印度朋友一起来,我们等了很久没有人接待,走过去讲话所有服务人员都像没看到我们一样态度冷漠More

I have been there few times and I will come back again. They serve typical Czech cuisine combining with the best Czech beer Pilsner Urquell. Quite huge menu to choose from. I also love the interior combining stone, metal and wood design. Only weak point...is the slow going service typically when the house is full. Overall I can recommend this nice restaurant.More

A little off the beaten track from the old town but definitely worth a visit to this traditional style Czech pub, if you find yourself this side of the river. Serving up extra fresh pivô (beer - Pilsner Urquell) and a huge menu to choose...from. You’ll find staff are friendly and attentive with an additional TVs if you like to watch some sport whilst you eat. I had the Charles IV pork ribs and they certainly didn’t disappoint. The portion is pretty large, 700g, and comes with two nice dips perfect to dunk a side order of your favourite potato-based friends. Lots of options on the menu are meat and bread heavy, quite typical of Czech food. There’s a local brewery nearby and this is the perfect place to either line your stomach or soak up some of the drink.More

Everything is OK. We loved it. Fast service, tasty and various food, good list of beer. It's better to reserve a table in advance because it's very popular among locals and tourists.

Zlaty Klas was our favorite during our visit in Prague. At the beginning was very convenient being so close to our hotel, but after that the food, the service, the atmosphere and the prices made the place very dear to us. No matter the day...of the week, for dinner is always crowded – tourists and locals alike. You may find here a nice offer of local food and beer. The portions are big enough to satisfy your hungry - you can get enough only with starters. The food is tasty, the staff is taking care about you in a good manner and you don’t have to pay a lot for all these.More

We had a reservation, showed up early and they sat us immediately. Staff was very nice without being overbearing. It's classic Czech food and beer. Not in a massive tourist area, but still plenty of tourists things nearby to visit.
