I've been told by locals that its a great place. And now I can confirm that! My risotto with sea food was delicious! Pizza Visuvi (not sure about the spelling) was eaten till the last crumble by my daughter (it was quite big!). After big...meal I risked to order homemade tiramissu and again Bingo! The interior is very cosy! Loved this place!More

Me and my boyfriend visited here on Tuesday and had a nice meal and a couple of drinks. We both had pasta dishes and thought the food was lovely. The waiter was friendly and attentive. Overall we enjoyed our visit and would recommend visiting here.

Taking into consideration that this is a pizza close to the main square, it was not that bad...but it was too soggy although the dough was really well made. Prices are aligned with main square prices...which means you can find something cheaper for sure if...you move out of the area. Staff was really friendly and we had a pleasant dinnerMore

A lovely restaurant hidden down a back street. Food was amazing, couldn't fault it at all. Reasonable prices. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely, welcoming staff. Great pizza and calzone! The only place in Prague that we went where the staff were not pushy for a tip at the end, of course when we did tip the waiter looked so grateful! Great prices. Would definitely go back!

Just returned from a fabulous 3 days in Prague with our daughter and son (20 & 21). Had a few hours to kill on arrival before we could move into our Air BnB apartment so sought out some lunch. Some friends had praised a small...pizzeria just off the main square but without accurate directions. By luck we stumbled across this place which it turns out was it! Lovely old building inside with a distressed Italian classic theme. Lovely, helpful waitress. Pizzas were properly hand made and probably some of the best we have ever eaten. Pizzas were about £7-£8 and a good size with a huge variety of choices. Half litre of Staropramen beer about £2.50 and a good Pinot Grigio also fairly priced. Coffees to round off were excellent. All in all a brilliant experience we would definitely recommend. So good we had a late lunch there the day we were leaving (we did eat a number of traditional Czech meals elsewhere so we weren’t total culinary Philistines)! Seriously though, try it, you’ll love it!More

We had an excellent lunch here on our first day. We shared a caprese salad and a pizza. We were seated quickly and our waiter was excellent. The pizza was very good, thin crust and done perfectly, nice and crispy. With the location being so...close to the main square, we were afraid it was going to be a tourist trap, but that was not the case at all.More

My boyfriend and I were excited to dine at Pizzeria Giovanni, as its warm and welcoming exterior seemed inviting yet cosy. Upon calling to book a reservation, I found that sadly this was not the case. The waiter I spoke to was clearly in a...hurry and simply refused to pronounce my name (Priyanka), claiming he couldn't understand it as he had never heard of it. Instead, he insisted on calling me 'Monica' for the duration of our call - which is not my name. Frankly I found his inability to even try and spell a "foreign" name highly racist, offensive and outright rude. We did not proceed with our booking and I shudder to think how hostile the environment at this backwards restaurant must be.More

We visited Ristorante Pizzeria Giovanni on our last night during our stay in Prague. From the outside it looked warm and welcoming, with cute interior décor and the food looked like hearty Italian cuisine. We were seated straight away and were served promptly – the...service was extremely good throughout our entire stay. We ordered a mixture of different dishes (lasagne, pizza, garlic bread etc) and each was outstanding – the whole menu looked appetising and all food was cooked fresh in the kitchen (you could see it being cooked). The restaurant was clean (including the toilets) and had a really nice, family (or romantic) feel. Overall we were very impressed and would visit again. Instagram: @journeywithussMore
