The food its ok but the people who work there are rude. Our experience begins with a girl asking to take us a photo without many information and after she try to sell us the photo... The food came very good, but the bad experience...cames after. When we ask for the bill cames but they make in the Bill a note that in the bill dont have the tips. For us if want tips you have to work for that but they make like a obligation. The worst is the restaurant have the information that you can pay with debit/Credit card , but when you want to pay with card they say, not possible, only cash. I ask why because they have the machine to pay by card and the machine is on for use. The man its was very rude and say a agressive NO. We dont understand the atitude because we travel a lot we know poor countrys in Ásia for exemple and we have never seen so desesperate country about money. We know some countrys in UE with low quality of live and our experience show that in Prague the people only want to take your money but they have quality of life and its not a ship city. For us our experience in this restaurant it has very very bad. Dont go to this restaurant they dont care about you or respect for the clientes. Look the photo that I put and see the bill with the note tips and the line around with pen, they make it for us.More

This restaurant is located in the old town square in Prague so I fully expected this restaurant to be expensive compared to restaurants away from the touristy areas. But some of the reviews were very critical of the food and service. We found the food...to be excellent and the portions were large. Our waiter was a bit dour faced at first but turned out to be very friendly and considerate. We had no problem using visa and the waiter asked us if he could apply 10% for a tip. The band was loud and we were initially worried that it would be too much but my wife and I fully enjoyed them. The band was fun and energetic. The atmosphere is very cool as the building was built in 13th century.More

Wonderful to see that this place hasn’t changed in 13 years. Found this lovely restaurant by chance in 2007 and loved it. Were on a river cruise with our daughter and husband and had to come for lunch to see if it was still great...and it was. The cave environment is unique and lovely. The staff are more traditional Czech so don’t expect warm fuzzy but they are great and helpful. The beer and wine selection are limited but the beer is outstanding. It didn’t appear that the menu has changed in 13 years and is mainly traditional Czech food. My daughter had the goulash which was wonderful, my son the ham and potato pancakes also delicious. My wife and I split, or tried to, the platter for 2, that could easily satisfy 4, that came with two duck leg/thighs, some pork, ham and sausage, kraut and red cabbage and three types of dumplings/pancakes and a boat of gravy. It was as wonderful as we remembered.More

Tried to get in to this restaurant 3 times during my recent trip to Prague. Luckily i succeeded at rhe end of my vacation and glad i was so persistent. IThe restaurant is in a vaulted cellar, two stories below street level just down an...alleyway off the main square in the old town. The decor of the restaurant is outstanding. The food is tasty and decent portion sizes. The wine is very tasty and the waiters are very accommodating when wa ting to change your Accompaniments. I ordered chicken and it came with mash so asked if i could change potatoes to potato gratin instead at no extra charge. My partner had trout with potatoes and loved every mouthful. Live music was also performed by three locals whilst we dined. Great food, atmosphere, decor and reasonably priced . Would highly recommend!!More

Tucked a couple of stories below the street, right across from the astronomical clock, is this treasure of a restaurant. Arched brick ceilings, walls decorated with hunting trophies (bears, deer, wild boar, birds), live music ( bass, accordion, banjo playing traditional folk songs with an...oompah flavor). We shared a roasted pig knuckle ( with plenty left for ham sandwiches the next day) and walnut-pear salad. Delightful! Stumbled upon this restaurant 15 years ago on last visit to Prague, enjoyed it again.More

Lovely atmosphere when we went they had live music playing traditional Czech music. Food was lovely and reasonable priced.

Right across from the astronomical clock, this restaurant is underground and kind of gives the feeling of being in a cave. We thought we'd give it a try. Myself and my husband were looking for a different type of experience while we were on our trip to Prague so decided to try a local Czech restaurant. We shared a starter of cheese with pear and beetroot which was nice. I had the pork...with the potato gratin the pork was ok but the potato gratin seemed like it was made the day before and reheated with cheese on top, it was dry and not pleasant to eat so that was left on the plate. My husband had the goulash with potato purée he had trouble identifying most things on the plate but to his surprise some things were tasty and others were well let’s say different. Staff were nice but the music was again let’s say the band thought they were better singers than they actually were.More

A Sunday evening in the rain and we spotted this restaurant in a cave which we thought would make a change. The food was tasty, service was fine and the music was great - a trio with a violinist who could make his instrument sing....We had looked at reviews, one of which was pretty poor, but glad we ignored that and went and we had a really good evening here, so give it a try.More

We ate here one night, the atmosphere, décor and live music were great. One of us had the suckling pig which was not the best we've had but it was ok! would still give it another chance bit not the suckling pig next time.

Joining tour without lunch in the itinerary gave me a chance to have meal of my choice with my sister in a very special place. This restaurant is located underground, unique decor with animal skins, bear, deer horn and others. Special glass bottles, glitter lights...too. We ordered roast duck with rosemary baked rice. Delicious. Enjoyed our lunch and photo shots.More
