We decided to go to San Carlo Mala Strana following the recommendation of a friend. When we arrived, we were welcomed by a friendly waiter, sat at a table in this beautiful garden, and ordered our dishes. Until that point, everything was fine... But after 40 minutes the waiter advised us that one of the dishes was not available. At... More

We've been there twice now, both in summer time, and therefore have enjoyed the wonderful garden. The garden set-up is a find itself - peaceful, green, enough space between the tables and some Italian music playing in the background. The quality of the food is excellent. I have tried both Calzones on the menu and can say these are the... More

We were lucky enough to get an evening table for two here, on what seemed to be a very busy night. The outdoor setting was beautiful, a perfect balance of lighting and nature. We were quickly seated by a charming restaurant manager named Jose (bares a comical likeness to Joe Pesci!). Nothing was too much trouble. The menu was expansive... More

The restaurant is located on a small, out-of-the-way street, which we found by accident. The outdoor seating area is beautiful, peaceful, and lush with greenery. We ordered the caprese salad and a margherita pizza, both of which were delicious. The mozzarella in the salad was exquisitely fresh. The staff were so welcoming when we arrived. They even remembered us when... More

After a few days of sausage and potato overload in Prague, we were craving some fresh flavours and this place was perfect. On a hot summer's afternoon, a table in the shade of their walled garden is bliss. It felt like a quiet, cool oasis away from the crowds and their selfie sticks. Pizzas, thin and crunchy with chewy edges,... More

Although I rarely eat Italian out in the states, my friends brought me to this text restaurants in Prague. I have minestrone and a margarita pizza, both of which were superb. The best part of this restaurant is careful service by delightful way to those who take great pride in the food and interior of the best job. The courtyard... More

Great garden elegant and quiet. Waiters very attentive and offering a warm ITalian style service. They also accept dogs, fantastic. Pizza is NAPOLI style (not the thin and crispy roman style) and very good. We also tried salads, all very good. Place very nice for both a brunch and a dinner outside in a garden. Also interior very nice.

Stumbled upon this great Italian restaurant while walking through the town. Tho the inside is gorgeous, the outside garden is just beautiful with lit trees and blooming flowers. Ate outside---cheese tray and pizza were wonderful as was the wine. Definitely recommended!!!!

Description
„La vera pizza Napoletana“, skutecna neapolska pizza nyni v Praze!

Located right next to the Charles Bridge, the newly opened Ristorante San Carlo Mala Strana, named after the famed Opera theatre in Napoli, provides a cosy atmosphere with Italian friendly touch and most importantly the authentic Napolitan pizza. „Pizza is a passion and an art for Neapolitans and it has clear rules how it should be prepared“, explains the acclaimed Neapolitan pizzaiolo Antonio di Filippo. „The key are the ingredients and the right preparation. The stone oven should be over 400°C to ensure that every bite is crispy just as it should be.“

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
