Food and atmosphere was quite ok, service pretty poor, but Czech standard is poor anyway (was not worse than average) but the disaster came when we paid. We didn't get any detailed bill, the waiter just came up with a (strangely rounded) amount from the...More

This place was recommended by staff at our hotel. We asked for a restaurant that they would go to that did good local Czech food. We weren't disappointed. The waiters are not like UK waiters - they don't say please or thank you. They take...More

Simple beer hall style decor. Good traditional Czech food, and great beer at a fair price. Well worth a visit.

Don't be fooled by the outside, 'cos inside it's surreal. Really old-fashioned beer hall selling outstanding beers. Went in the afternoon, for drinks, not food. Budvar excellent and the ambience is that of a friendly pub where the conversation revolves around putting the world to...More

We sat at the bar and tried a few different beers. My favourite was their own fresh brew 1466, while my other half really liked the oldgott. We didn't eat as it was too busy to get a table, but the food looked good.

Stumbled upon this place and decided to try it once we realized it was recommended in our guidebook. This restaurant is like a huge beer hall, and it was packed (so it might be smart to come right when it opens, although we had no...More

I visited this restaurant on the recommendation from a friend. It was necessary to book as it is a very popular place. If you are a non-smoker be sure to book a table in the non-smoking section. I thoroughly enjoyed the food. The onion and...More

It proabably had the best beer that I had in Europe. The 1466 beer was out of this world. It was a super microbrewery, actually and the food (which was recommended by a local taxi driver) was some of the more authentic Czech cuisine that...More

I went to the bar of the restaurant to have a beer but never got attended by the waiter. He didn't even look at us. The beer was great and the the food look good and not expensive. I will try the restaurant next time.

Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the
medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is
bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický
square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle
in the background, is probably the most beautiful
square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere
of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and
squares, and stone towers blend together with the

Pretty sure I didn't pay cash for anything in Prague in fall 2015. Found them to be very credit card friendly. Almost certain medvidku takes cards.
