About
The founding of the U Medvidku restaurant can be dated to 1466. This former brewery, which was also the location of the first Prague cabaret, was converted in the last century into one of the largest pubs in Prague.

Wanting to try out a beer i was near this restaurant and wanted to have it a go...bad choice...i think this was my worst experience reguarding the service. The staff was unpolite they made a sign to w8 when wanted to order and then thrown...the beers on the table. I order a goulash to try out, was mediocre but a different guy served us also with that horrible attitude. They bring an empty dish and they come with the goulash separatly, when he brought the goulas he was asking me to remove the napkin and spoon from the diwh so he can poor the goulash, all in czezh, at 1st i didn t understand and he was annoyed...what a terrible experience...food also poor, would not reccomend not even a stop between places...More

Arrogant and hostile service, which you bother with your orders. I have not experienced worse for a long time. I definitely do not recommend. Never more…

Since I stayed at the hotel, I decided to try out the restaurant below. It's a large resto with plenty of tables for small and big parties. The servers always seemed rush, so they may forget about you, or they're helping other costumers. The menu...consist of filling, Czech food (few veggie options), so I went and ordered the pork chop. The food was decent, but very filling. You get a generous portion of food with each plate. Unfortunately, the beer I wanted was unavailable despite them advertising the X33 since they make it in small batches. Server was nice and didn't speak English, but like I mentioned, everyone was rushed.More

Traditional restaurant serving their own excellent beer - I liked Oldgott. Low prices for typical dishes like pork knee. If you are not of extreme apetite bear in mind that such pork knee portion is at least for two persons. I saw quite a lot...of complaints in reviews but we do not have any. We were glad for the experience. It is a pub kind of restaurant thus if you are looking for higher cuisine and sweet waiters you should go to other type of restaurants. U Medvídku consists of hotel, restaurant and brewery-pub - it seems that the pub is closed nowadays.More

Great beer. I loved The Oldgott from their own Microbreweri. However The atmosphere was flat and The service really poor. They gave us very little attention and The waiter seemed like she hated her job.

Terrible experience of my birthday dinner at this restaurant, the food was ok, the price is reasonable, but we waited for more than 1 hour for our meal and No one cares about us. We asked the waiter but didn’t say sorry, but can help...us cancel the meal and leave the restaurant. We asked again how long we have to wait for the meal, and it will be delivered about 10 minutes later. It must have forgotten our meal. I am really angry for this restaurant. Won't visit again!!!!!More

Wow, this is a second time in my life I experienced a non-existing service. I know people complain about a food or service here, I wasn't able to get either in 20 minutes.

Food was disgusting. Really terrible. We hate it. I would not suggest to go there to anybody. It was terrible. We wanted to forget that we ate there. Also there service fee which is not understandable because if food is disgusting for what you are...paying? Probably you we paid service fee for food which makes you feel terrible all evening and gives you diarrhea.More

Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the
medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is
bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický
square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle
in the background, is probably the most beautiful
square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere
of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and

Pretty sure I didn't pay cash for anything in Prague in fall 2015. Found them to be very credit card friendly. Almost certain medvidku takes cards.
