We booked for Saturday evening but we're told our table would only be available at 9.30. We arrived at 9.15 and the place was virtually empty and lacked character. The meal was shocking!!! Dry and unappetising. We were also told ... to pay bill only cash!

Very nice and cozy restaurant, we came as a couple for dinner and the service was great. The food is very good and we tried the famous sauce which was wonderful! Really enjoyed our night, the food and the general ambiance. Recommended!

This is somewhat of a neighborhood restaurant. The front area is the bar where they will want to seat you. Great if you are in a hurry. Ask for the dining room if you want a relaxing meal. Risottos and salads are good.

We went with a group of eight to celebrate my wife's birthday. The food is French and Czech and is excellent. The dining hall is very elegant (the restaurant has been in operation for over 100 years) with chandeliers and lovely table settings. The experience is fine dining with refined service. The servers speak excellent English and are very helpful.... More

Not a tourist place, which is rare in this location and definitely worth taking few steps from the touristy street with plenty of restaurants with so called "czech food". the menu here is short but possible to make a choice, beef tartare with truffless and merlot was our choice as well as a platter of cheese and creme brule, nice... The meal we had at Cafe de Paris was unforgettable! We came for our anniversary dinner and the setting was ideal. They have a small menu, but each item was made to perfection. The entrecôte was made with their secret sauce and was really tender and flavorful. They even keep half of the dish on warm candles while you eat... More

I went twice to this restaurant and had the same experience. The atmosphere is nice mostly thanks to the waiters. The service is not french: I went there with 2 women and got the menu first, we asked (in english) what are the ingredients of the seasonal salad and could not get an answer, I asked what is their "Quirr... Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
