The meal we had at Cafe de Paris was unforgettable! We came for our anniversary dinner and the setting was ideal. They have a small menu, but each item was made to perfection. The entrecôte was made with their secret sauce and was really tender and flavorful. They even keep half of the dish on warm candles while you eat... More

I went twice to this restaurant and had the same experience. The atmosphere is nice mostly thanks to the waiters. The service is not french: I went there with 2 women and got the menu first, we asked (in english) what are the ingredients of the seasonal salad and could not get an answer, I asked what is their "Quirr... Cute little place. Very inviting. Tiny courtyard seating. On a very quiet Maltezske namesti. Convenient for us - just steps away from the Mandarin Oriental hotel, where we were staying. Next door is a small art gallery. Stop by after dessert and buy an oil painting. Get the feel and taste of Paris in Prague! Bring cash they don't take... More

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
