As my twin brother Stephen and I were staying in the Smichov district we couldn't resist going to this pub which is one of our favourites in this eclectic district of Prague. This is a proper cellar pub, arched walls, exposed brickwork, beer posters and enamels adorning...the walls, a long solid serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this cavernous pub,its just one really good pub. We were here on a Friday late afternoon, in fact we were the first customers of the day as the pub had just opened its doors so we had the pub all to ourselves so we could appreciate what a great looking pub this is. A very pleasant member of staff served us a beer each,we opted to have that most Czech of beers namely pilsner urquell beer, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling, we just chilled out and took in the great pub we were in. I really enjoy pilsner urquell beer, it's a light, hoppy and unpretentious beer bursting with taste, very easy to drink,a beer style I really enjoy, it's the beer I most associate with Prague. We really enjoyed our beers in here, ended up staying for two each ,pub really started to fill up with weekend revellers before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. This pub is easy to locate, tram numbers 4.5.12.20.94. & night trams 901 .907 to stop Na Knìžecí drops you off practically by the pub. Opening hours are, Monday to Thursday, 5pm till 3am. Friday & Saturday, 5pm till 5am. Sunday, Closed. A great pub,if your in the Smichov district well worth checking out.More

And the beer is excellent. Really good vibe even mid week when quieter. The burger I had was awesome, really tasty and arrived quickly. With good beer on tap you should go here and it’s got easy connections to go elsewhere too. Weekends must be...good here.More

Dog's Bollock's Restaurant is an absolutely fantastic restaurant and bar that is huge,it's a cellar bar with exposed brickwork arched ceilings, great decor and furnishings,a superb long serving bar with plenty of seating options spread throughout this cavernous restaurant and bar. We had jumped the tram...down to the Smichov district and visited here on a Friday early evening. As this place had just opened we were about the first customers of the day so we could really appreciate what a lovely restaurant and bar this is . We ordered at the bar a nice Pilsner Urquell beer each and these beers were served in tip top condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just chilled out and took in the great restaurant we were in. This is a bar that I have been to on many occasions over the years and it's a place that gets better and better with each visit. We ended up staying for another beer before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Dogs Bollocks Restaurant is really easy to locate by jumping tram number 5.12.20.94 to stop Na Knizeci in an area teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants. Opening hours are; Monday, closed. Tuesday to Thursday,5pm till 3am. Friday & Saturday,5pm till 5am. Sunday, closed. A great restaurant and bar and well worth checking out.More

I was staying in Prague for a week, my hotel being in the excellent Unitas, and this place came highly recommended. As others have said, when it is moderately quiet, it's excellent, the food was good and beer served quickly with a friendly reception from...the staff. When we went back another time, it was busy, but only like any city centre pub. At this point, the staff seemed to be very hassled - perhaps the clientele were being horrible, I'm not sure - anyway, we got served as quickly as I would expect, but the food we ordered (we actually had the same thing as the first night) was simply nowhere near as nice as it had been. Overall, I think it's a good place to go, but give it a miss if you can't get to the bar easily :)More

Place is more to be pub with DJ and good place for dance then real restaurant. Thus I must admit that I was not so happy with chicken wings that I have had there. On other hand beer was ok. Pricing was a bit higher...than average I have faced in Prague, but still quite acceptable. Atmosphere and music was good. Service was ok. To conclude, drop by for dance and beer. Avoid eating.More

Whilst staying in Andel for a few nights we tried The Dogs Bollocks on 2 of the evenings. The first was Thursday evening and we found the place quite empty but we received a warmish welcome from the staff and decided to stay. The food...was reasonably priced and tasty too, the service was good - mainly because there was only a hand full of people in there. There was a dance floor and a DJ with music from 10pm. All-in-All we had a reasonable time. Because of the proximity to our hotel we decided to return to the Dogs Bollocks on the next evening, a Friday night. Our experience was totally the opposite of our first visit. The place was busier but there were still plenty of tables free. This time we had to negotiate the bouncer on the stairs who wouldn't let us pass unless we put our coats in the cloak room, for which we would have had to pay. We convinced him that we didn't need to do this. Eventually he found us a table, despite there being lots available. We were served by the same waitress from the previous evening. Our welcome this time was quite different; no friendly chat, quite brash and the drinks were slow to arrive. We made a second order with the same waitress and waited and waited for it to arrive. Tables around us were served, some twice. We asked the waitress again and got ignored. Eventually we took the hint and left. It seems you are quite welcome in here if it’s empty or a local otherwise steer clear. Definitely would not go back.More

Went there after dinner at La Terrazza looking for maybe 1 drink...we ended up staying for 4. Fun bar staff, cool surroundings, & the bill was less than we expected. Well made cocktails. We'll definitely go back.

Visited on Thursday eve, group of approximately 15 girls... I have to say, the staff was excellent and the lady even kept my bill opened, although they require payment straight away after the drinks was served. Very helpful. They played music - have to say...that the DJ has a great taste, the whole evening was excellent I would certainly recommend the place as well as I will return.More
