A nice guy attend us at the entrance and showed us the way to a free table, he put menu cards on the table and wished us a nice stay. We took of our coat, were seated and an unpleasant lady told us that the...table was not free and send us to another room. We just asked for a beer and went out to another restaurant to have dinner! Bad communication between the staff makes that customers go somewhere else!More

Avoid this touristic place. As other people explained, they try to scam you. I asked a tall waiter for the bill and he showed up with his telephone (no bill at all) and, of course, increased the price in 214 CK: 690 instead of 476...CK. When I asked him for the ticket, he first made a bad face and then came up again with a ticket with the price of the food (404 CK) and another hand-written 'ticket' with drinks (72 CK) plus 54 CK (service). To sum up, they tried to scam us and it seems they are used to do it with tourist. The waiter didn´t even said "sorry" and made a lot of preasure on me to pay. I had to ask him for "one minute please" in order to calculate the bill and realised he wanted 214 CK more than the real price. Feel very sorry to find this kind of people in such a beautiful city. By the way, duck is much better in any average chinese restaurant. Trust me, don't go. As you can see in other reviews, it wasn't the first time they tried to treat tourists like this.More

Didn't know this restaurant, went there because of the publicity on the hotel. The environment is very cosy, probably a little bit too hot. The prices aren't very high, the food is great and the service is very good. The wine was a very good...surpriseMore

Went for lunch - great atmospheric building. Beer was good. Food was average and make sure you check your bill as they tried to over charge us. We only had 2 drinks but 7 were on the bill. When we questioned the amount we had...to correct them again as they still tried to over charge by only knocking 100 czk off instead of 175czk.More

We visited as a group of friends on a Wednesday evening. We were seated quickly and our order was taken quite speedily. Sadly this is where the service started to slip. Firstly we were pressured into buying a souvenir photograph of the evening. The food...wasn't particularly good quality, the chicken schnitzel was very dry, one of our group was served the wrong meal, but felt too bad to argue it with the surly waiter. Said surly waiter then pressured for a tip at the end of the meal and wouldn't leave us alone, as we asked to discuss what tip we felt we should leave! The beer was the only saving grace for the restaurant and managed to salvage a star, but we definitely won't be returning!More

There is a big restaurant under the ground near the Venczel square. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they speak english language. The portions are bigger than the average. The interior is like a pub, but the food is lovely and plenty. I...ate roasted pork knee, there was really delicious, but one portion is enough for 2 people! Totally recommend!More

A large group of us came for dinner and they were terrific at accommodating us. They have their own beer, which was very good, and a great menu of local favorites. We all got to try our favorites and a few discoveries. It was a...delightful evening!More

Nothing special, beer is fine but food was really average, even below average. There should be much more better breweries in Prague.

Food is very average minus. But the service was just awful! The officiant was so rude to us and so aggressive behavior so I couldn't believe that he can act like that. For my questions of food ingredients the officiant just said : What a...stupid question, only stupid asks these questions" After that he decided to talk to us only on Czech instead of English or Russian and all the time by every sentence told "Say please" Just awful place, if you want to stay with good mood run away from this place my adviceMore

Ate here on two occasions when on holiday in Prague. Very good beer, first time we had a tower of beer - refreshing. Food was good fare, yes in a way typical pub food but well presented, not a long wait at all and good...portions. On the Saturday found that any 'men only'/stag groups were put two floors down in the cellar area so as not to disturb family and group diners - well done.Enjoyed it.More

Called in for a drink while walking back to our hotel from the market square. Asked the waiter to recommend one of the beers on offer which he did and it turned out to be a good choice.

Nice atmosphere but first waiter had a bad attitude. Second waiter was much better. Food and prices average. House beers were quite generic. Expected better. Would not return.
