Such a fun, little resturant hidden down inside a building. Awesome Czech cuisine. Deer goulash was outstanding, along with the spinach risotto and the Budweiser goulash. Outstanding service and great atmosphere!

Absolutely great eating experience in Prague. This was my first stop to eat and it was not a let down. Very courteous staff with authentic Czech cuisine. Highly recommended, you will love it.

This restaurant was recommended by the receptionist at the Hotel Clement. It is situated below street level and so not visible from outside which would probably have put us off it normally. However, the staff were helpful and friendly. It is decorated in a mediaeval style which adds to the atmosphere. The portions were large and the food was excellent.... More

This was great place to have a lunch. Service and food was what I was expecting of this kind of restaurant. My ribs was ok. Some other portions were raw.

We decided to go there because it seemed a good place. However, firstly, the service was really slow, the food took ages to arrive and it was nothing special. But the worst thing was the service itself: my Polish friend asked whether they had a hot beer (because yes, in Poland it's popular). The waitress looked at her with the... More

Luckily a taxi driver mentioned this place and we had to take a visit. You have to go down many stairs to find it. An old style service area with swords and Lancelots is the dinning area. The menu has traditional Czech food and the service very district and polite. Lovely dinner and time.

This quaint lil restaurant, off the beaten path, has beautiful, yet rustic and charming ambience with amazing authentic Czech cuisine and very affordable. It was a relaxed and enjoyable environment......would definitely visit again the next time I am in Prague.

My husband and I wandered in to U Sadlu and were quickly seated without a reservation. The service was quick and very friendly. The waiter spoke English and the menu was easy to understand. The food was beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. The prices were very reasonable, two meals and two rounds of drinks (4 altogether) was... More

Good authentic Czech food, good beer and good prices. Friendly service. Restaurant itself is in a dungeon of sorts, with interesting decor, worth a visit for sure

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
