We fell into this buffet cafeteria by chance on a Sunday afternoon. The meals we had were very satisfying. There was a Birra grapefruit and orange flavored beer from a can that ai especially liked. I had short rib beef with potato and carrot that tasted like oven roast. With it I had spratzel with bits of ham and maybe small slivers of cabbage in it. Both were delicious. My wife had roast chicken with potato. She praised it highly. The person behind the counter explained that this buffet cafeteria is next to a restaurant of the same name. If you are in Prague and want to eat roasted meat/stew that tastes like something that a grandmother would spend hours preparing, then put this cheerful, clean establishment on your agenda,

Decent local food in downtown tourist area. This is not fancy restaurant just self service restaurant with honest typical Czech fare for a quick but yummy lunch. For the tourist part of the town great value for money. Restaurant clean, toilets just down next door, also clean.

At first we were reluctant to enter, because the location is very poorly indicated and the first impression of the interior is unimpressive. However the service and food is excellent, and such good value for money. I am happy that we shared a meal, because the portions are enormous! I can recommend this restaurant anytime!

We actually ate here twice and, to be honest, we loved the food. I simply cannot give a good review to a place that treats offer human beings poorly. After having lunch here a few days earlier, we went out of our way to come back for dinner. The sign in the window says they close at 6:00 pm on Sundays, which is when we went there. They serve cafeteria style and there wasn't much of a selection left at 5:20 pm. We were able to make a good meal of what was left and we had beers. At 5:48, a man started hovering over us. Although we had 12 more minutes, he was hell-bent on getting us to leave. I had half my beer left, which I had to guzzle after a full meal. We would have been out the door in another four or five minutes, still before their posted closing time, but he insisted that we leave. We were just sitting there, quietly drinking the rest of our beer. We weren't messy or loud. They just wanted to go home early. Apparently, once they have your money they don't care about you. If you're ok with being treated like that, the food is really good. But if common decency matters to you, stay away.

Just off the main tourist area this place is a little hidden. I would not recommend searching for it.
The restaurant is clean and comfortable.
The food was just okay. We stopped in for lunch and had chicken schnitzel it was very greasy and just okay.
Service was okay as well. There only seemed to be one server and about 4 tables of people.
This restaurant charges a cover as well. It's not much - $40 kc, which is only a few dollars, but it just seems a little sly.

We came across this hidden gem after we arrived from Spain. It’s a very cozy place downstairs from the street. We had the Praha plate and my daughter had the tenderloin with ham. Food was to die for and the service excellent. We went in November and still crave the food and people. You cannot go wrong with Apetit. You will love it. We regret not going one more time before we left.

An open buffet in a local restaurant that can't be found by everyone; only those in the know can locate this traditional Czech spot. Very tasty, clean, and lovely."

Very good restaurant. Very clean and nice atmosphere. Had the roast Goose for lunch and it was amazing. Traditional Czech dumplings and red cabbage. Service was great. Very attentive and followed up. Very impressed.

As others have mentioned, atmosphere is drab, but food is amazing. We had the chicken schnitzel, potato salad, and fried cheese. Everything was exception. It was worth the walk from old town.

As others noted, well hidden in a basement. Prices are reasonable, service adequate, food was nice but the place was lacking atmosphere. One server staying mainly at the bar, pop music from the radio in the background. Not conducive to producing fond memories of Prague!
