We came across this hidden gem after we arrived from Spain. It’s a very cozy place downstairs from the street. We had the Praha plate and my daughter had the tenderloin with ham. We fell into this buffet cafeteria by chance on a Sunday afternoon. The meals we had were very satisfying. There was a Birra grapefruit and orange flavored beer from a can that ai especially liked. I had short rib beef with potato and carrot that...tasted like oven roast. With it I had spratzel with bits of ham and maybe small slivers of cabbage in it. Both were delicious. My wife had roast chicken with potato. She praised it highly. The person behind the counter explained that this buffet cafeteria is next to a restaurant of the same name. At first we were reluctant to enter, because the location is very poorly indicated and the first impression of the interior is unimpressive. However the service and food is excellent, and such good value for money. I am happy that we shared a meal, because...the portions are enormous! I can recommend this restaurant anytime!More

Just off the main tourist area this place is a little hidden. I would not recommend searching for it. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The food was just okay. We stopped in for lunch and had chicken schnitzel it was very greasy and just...okay. Service was okay as well. There only seemed to be one server and about 4 tables of people. This restaurant charges a cover as well. It's not much - $40 kc, which is only a few dollars, but it just seems a little sly.More

Had svitkova it was ok but not great. Was pretty empty so that should have been a warning. Probably wouldn't return.
Very good restaurant. Very clean and nice atmosphere. Had the roast Goose for lunch and it was amazing. Traditional Czech dumplings and red cabbage. Service was great. Very attentive and followed up. Very impressed.
As others have mentioned, atmosphere is drab, but food is amazing. We had the chicken schnitzel, potato salad, and fried cheese. Everything was exception. It was worth the walk from old town.
Good steak and ok atmosphere, but the service is too rush and not good. Waiter asking for tip at the end....
Not in the least trendy, but if you EE after good honest food at a reasonable cost then you can’t go wrong.
As others noted, well hidden in a basement. Prices are reasonable, service adequate, food was nice but the place was lacking atmosphere. One server staying mainly at the bar, pop music from the radio in the background. Not conducive to producing fond memories of Prague!
I would recommend this place specially if you travelling for few days to Prague without half pansion. Very tasty local type foods with very reasonable price almost in the middle of the city. Self service restaurant with few seats. When it is crowdy you might...need to wait.More
