About
In the restaurant you can enjoy friendly and calm atmosphere of French countryside even if you are in the centre of Prague. The restaurant is located close to upper corner of Wenceslas Square (150 m from Museum metro station and 300 m from I.P. Pavlova metro station). On the menu you can find steaks and other dishes from aged Charolaise beef produced by Czech farmers, lamb from our farm, fruit brandy produced in our own distillery and various French specialities. The “secret” tip is a dessert prepared by liquid nitrogen (-196C°) right next to your table. Name of the restaurant “White cow” refers to the world´s best breed originating from the French town called Charolais. Founding of the restaurant almost twenty years ago is closely connected with a breeding company, which imported Charolaise cows from France and it breaded here in the Czech Republic. We use beef from young Charolaise bulls raised on meadows of Moravian Highlands. On blackboard nearby of entrance each customer can find bull´s identification number, age and exact length of meat aging. On the top of that in the restaurant you can taste lamb from our farm, fruit brandy produced in our own distillery and many more. We like to say that in our restaurant you really „Know, what you eat“ and „Know what you drink.

We booked this restaurant for a new years eve lunch and were not disappointed! It's a little hidden gem and slightly out of the way from all the main spots but it's worth the visit and is so cute inside. The food was fantastic, they had good beer and cider. We both had tenderloin steak, I had a potato side dish and my partner had a veg side dish and all of the food was so full of flavour. The steak was tender and potatoes cooked to perfection. We also had a starter and dessert each and the whole thing came to around £66, such good value for a 3 course steak dinner for 2. Would highly recommend. The only thing I'd suggest is getting your steak cooked a little more than you would usually - I always get medium rare and my partner a medium but we found this to be a little too red for us so if I were to visit again I think I'd go for medium just to make sure. All in all a must visit if you get the chance to while in Prague, the quality of food and service is worth it!

We used to visit this restaurant either on regular occasions or to celebrate special events with close family. It is not a classic restaurant, it is a place where you feel as at home, you will spend long time there but you feel that it was just a while. The interior is cozy and homely. Due to the fact that the restaurant has rugged spaces, it creates a family and personal impression. The approach and behavior of the waiters will pleasantly surprise you. You can find there the absolute gastronomic professionalism and willingness of advise or recommendation of the menu. The whole staff´s care is perfect, we have always felt like in an absolutely top restaurant. Unfortunately, this caringness is no longer commonly seen nowadays, but here in Whitre Cow restaurant you will experience real professionals who enjoy their work and fulfill it. As for the food, we were not afraid to try any dish that is on the card. They offer a permanent menu and also have a special menu prepared according to the seson ingredients at that time. I definitely recommend tasting beef tartare, I've never eaten better anywhere. Snails are also excellent and foie grass pate with various types of marmalade is excellent. Vegetarians are welcome as well, but this restaurant, as its name reveals, is mainly for beef lovers. I firmly believe that you will not get better beef steaks anywhere else in Prague. Their prices are proportional to the quality of the food. Finally you find a restaurant in which you get dish, that you do not prepare it in the same quality at home. I often come across the fact that many restaurants in comparison to the price versus output is completely inadequate, but this does not happen to you while visiting the White Cow restaurant. For me and all my loved ones, it is the best restaurant in Prague. If you will come to Prague for a holiday or business trip or just passing through, definitely call and make some time for lunch or dinner in this family cosy restaurant. They also offers a selection of the best wines from Czech family wineries or quality wines from the whole world. Tasting Czech homemade schnapps are also excellent. Visit this place, eat well and enjoy a wonderful visit like us always we are in the White Cow restaurant.

I found this restaurant on Google Maps as I was searching for places to go for dinner. I went for the Carpaccio for starters, then the 300g Tenderloin Fillet and Ice Cream for dessert. The Carpaccio was massive and only thing it needed was some Balsamic vinegar yet, I could've just asked for that. 10/10 The steak was so tender and cooked perfectly, I also chose a side of mixed salad and baked beetroot in orange and balsamic. Great pairing! 10/10 The Curd Ice Cream however... it's not a standard bowl, they literally make the ice cream at the table with liquid nitrogen and then poured a fresh berry compot on top I'm getting hungry just writing this! A great was to top off my stay in Prague, and if I do return then this restaurant is on the checklist! Only 2 floor staff, but you couldn't tell. Service was impeccable and everything that I was served was delicious!!

We had a fantastic dinner here. The steak is one of the best I have had in Prague and the side dishes were excellent. We shared the potato croquettes, which were delicious, and my rump steak was cooked to perfection. The service and staff were really friendly and it’s definitely worth a visit, make sure to book early to guarantee a table.

We had an outstanding dinner here on our last night in Prague. It is definitely not in the usual tourist area, but just a short 15 minute walk away. We shared the lamb croquette to start, and then shared both the veal and the 3 beef selection. We also had a side order of green beans and a side salad, again all shared. Every single item was prepared perfectly and absolutely delicious! The lemon and mango sorbets with sparkling wine was a perfect way to end the meal. From the moment we walked in to when we left, we felt very welcomed. Our waitress was excellent and the prices very reasonable. This restaurant exceeded our high expectations!

The restaurant is located in the very city centre, yet hidden away off crowds. It has a small, almost family-like atmosphere with a friendly and kind team of waiters. I started with a tartare steak, perfectly seasoned, juicy and fresh. The best you can have before some of the main dishes, where an evergreen choice is one of those beef steaks. I went for classic - Filet steak - and was absolutely right. Such a smooth and tender beef I haven't had for years. The place is not overpriced and you get what you pay for. I am coming back for sure !

There are times when only a steak will do and boy do they not disappoint. A cosy restaurant, a little bright for my liking, but tasteful cow themed decor on the walls. Unfortunately they'd run out of the 'spider' steak which is a marbled steak but they made good suggestions for my wife and I. My entrecote (rib eye) steak was medium rare and perfectly cooked with potato gratin and spinach to die for. I had the pepper sauce but honestly, it didn't need it. Then for dessert we had to have the chocolate fondant which was divine. All washed down with a very reasonably priced french Pinot Noir.

We stumbled across this place just past Wenseslas Square and were told it was fully booked, but the manager came out as we left to let us know they had one table left the following evening at 8...so we went back and were so pleased we did! It was the most amazing food, the flavours were magnificent and the staff were attentive but not overbearing. The manager remembered us which was a lovely touch too. Thank you to you all and we highly recommend you to anyone (but best to reserve first!!)

Hello everyone, Tonight I spent one of my best food experience. I had a degustation menu and a luxury desert. The first one was soup from artichoke, then scallops, lamb meat with pumpkin croquette and beef steak, the last was chocolate fondue. The service was awesome, too! Love this restaurant, I really recommend it and I'll come back for sure.

I searched and found this restaurant on google for steakhouse. It was rated very high and we were sent back one evening for no reservation. We went back couple of days later for lunch, it was almost empty, only 2 other tables were occupied. The place was over rated, we took the expensive platter which also had the wagyu as well, but it was not as expected, very ordinary quality, and hard meat. I wouldn’t go here again.

We came to this restaurant for my husband’s birthday. I chose it based on the reviews and we weren’t disappointed. I had the beef bourguignon, potatoes gratin and green beans, My husband had the beef entrecôte, pumpkin croquettes and mixed salad. Everything was absolutely delicious. We chose a Moldavian red wine, which was also really good. They also brought a small appetiser of hummus and bread and tap water free of charge. The service was very efficient. All in all it was the best meal I had had for a long while. I would definitely return if in Prague again as there were several other things on the menu I would have liked to have tried,

Visited here on a Saturday night after booking a table, and so glad we did! We had an absolutely wonderful meal. The bread was lovely and fresh, meanwhile we both ordered beef bourguignon for main, with sharing sides of green beans and potato gratin. Everything was so full of flavour, cooked to perfection and tasted of great quality, it was absolutely delicious. We then had creme brulee for dessert which was also very tasty. There was a great selection of food options, in addition to red wine selection. The red wine we had was full of flavour, full bodied and very enjoyable. The waiter was very friendly but professional, and we found it be to great service. Would 100% recommend and will definitely return, should we visit Prague again.

I had an appointment with my friends in this restaurant and we were pretty happy that we made time to eat there. It was not just the food that was an excellence experience but also waitress were very polite and kind. I had beef tartar as a starter and I was really surprised with the taste of mixed spice in it and also with delicate plating. And the main course meal was Striploin steak, I have never had better one. All in all, it was one of the best appointments we have ever had and we would like to visit this restaurant again.

A must visit in Prague! From start to finish, one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. Food was incredible - both ordered steak sharing plates, cooked perfectly with great sides. Couldn’t fault this meal- would recommend to anyone in Prague! And it won’t break the bank. Service was also great, lovely staff. 10/10!
