We just returned from 9 days in Northern Italy and Prague, and this was our best meal by far. The view of the city is fantastic, and we actually got to watch some fireworks over the square from the terrace, which was phenomenal. While the view is unbeatable, the food is really the star here. Our favorite appetizer, although they... More

We recently visited Terasa u Zlate Studne for a special dinner during our visit to Prague. The restaurant is located right below Prague Castle walls - so has a very nice panoramic view of the city. Even in July, it was quite chilly after the sun went down, and immediately heat lamps and wool blankets were offered to warm us... More

Me and a buddy went here for the degustation menu, and were not let down. First of all, the location and view is formidable! Great skyline and sunset view of Prague (even with a full moon). But most importantly, the food and the staff were fantastic! Food first: small bits of heaven, and some bigger bits of the main courses.... More

This restaurant hit all major categories of interest: it was romantic, it had a marvellous view of Prague, the service was attentive and the food was excellent. My arctic char was tasty and cooked to perfection. The restaurant is located atop a hotel where the beauty of Prague can be appreciated and it has an utterly enjoyable atmosphere.

The location was very nice with a lovely view and great service. They have a limited food menu. Nevertheless the food was nice.

Giving this restaurant 4 stars for the view and service, both were exceptional. The food was just okay. And the wine was very expensive. I would not go back if I visit Prague again.

We got married in Prague with a small forum of friends & family and we're looking for a premium place for a dinner - this place answer all our needs. We were using the upper teras. The view is breathtaking and the food is not less then fantastic. I tried the trio of Tuna and the stake both choices were... More

We visited Terasa u Zlate Studne our first evening in Prague mainly for the location on the walls of Prague Castle and the rooftop view. Both lived up to expectations. The gourmet menu was limited, and we were a large group of thirteen, but it did offer something for all tastes. The quality of offerings, and the taste of the... More

Booked this restaurant prior to visiting, based on trip advisor ratings. We were not disappointed!! This amazing restaurant is a little gem tucked out the way so allow time to find it. The rooftop setting gives amazing views with food and service to match.

Dear Laura A, I am very glad to hear that our restaurant fulfilled your expecations. As our Terrace restaurant is located in building from 16th century directly below Prague Castle, it is sometimes hard to find. However, I am thrilled to hear that it was definitely worth it, in your case, and that that you left us with unforgettable memories.... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
