Yes, I've been there before in my previous visits to Prague and the first day we came to Prague this time we went there again, Malaya Strana. The service we had there was always good and friendly though everyone told us that with us speaking...Russian, people would not be friendly in this times. The smoked pig knuckle was the best there and the beer and everything.More

Went there after recommendation of our tour guide when asking for local food. Goulash and beer is the go-to option. English written menu with fair price, overall good value for money. Wouldn't say staff is rude but they're not friendly either.

We went there because it was suggested to us. We took goulash and duck. The waiter asked: "with potatoes?". We said yes. Four tiny pieces of meat arrived in the goulash with potatoes. The duck was very dried, it was supposed to come with dumpling...according the menu but arrived only with potatoes. At the end both things came overpriced "because of the potatoes". We felt taken advantage of! Maybe we were unlucky with the waiter and we don't really think we have too high standards, but honestly we ate in other restaurants in Prague and for less money we had way bigger portions. Not recommended at all!More

Real Czech atmosphere with local food and lots of beer. Good prices for city centre, tasty food. Most of the clients are locals.

Ordered svickova based off advice from our tour guide saying it is authentic Czech food. Not the most aesthetically pleasing dish but tasted okay. Wouldn’t reorder. Also the menu outside had a lot more options than what was actually available. Cute but wouldn’t come back....Total 253CZK (£8.50), relatively cheap.More

I didn’t end up eating there but went in to ask about making a booking, got given the hairy eye ball from the locals in there and the guy behind the bar. When I started asking about a booking I was told they would be...full, which was strange as I hand the even said what day or time. Obviously a locals hang out which is fine but as a tourist I’d avoid it it was the only place in the city where my radar went off in terms of personal safety. Certainly not somewhere I’d take my family. Just leave it for the locals plenty of other places to spend your money.More

A Taxi driver from the airport highly recommended us this bar and restaurant. He said it's the only place that he goes in the old town part of Prague! Everywhere else is catered for tourists and therefore too over priced that the locals can no...longer afford. "Very good local food and beer" he said. We visited this pub on a Thursday night, around 5pm. It was busy but there was still a few tables by the front entrance. The two ladies bar attendants were lovely and very helpful. We sat by the window and had our meal. To our surprise, the food were very fresh, delicious for a pub! We had a few beers, two main courses, a dessert and some local vodka for less than 750. I ordered the trout with steamed vegetables and it was so delicious! The fish was so fresh and cooked to perfection! We left around 6:30pm and this place started to fill up. Many were locals dropping in for a quick drink after work. The next day we went back and the tables upstairs were full. The place was completed packed. It was around 6pm. We went to the basement where there were lots of tables. We had a quick meal and left because it was very hectic. It's completely a different shift of staff. The were all male and they were very unfriendly, to the point of making us uncomfortable! They were quite aggressive. We went pass the pub again the next day, the same team of staff was running the pub so we avoided them and not coming in. Two days later we came in as we saw the ladies were back on. They welcomed us and treated us like their friends. We had a wonderful time with them. The food was consistent for the three visits! And we paid so much more elsewhere for the food that is not even close to what they served here. One of the restaurants we went, we paid three times the money for food that made us very sick! Certainly a must to visit if you are in Prague old town! We enjoyed the two ladies who works there during the weekdays! They are amazing people!More

Never got past the guard dog posing as a waiter downstairs. In telling us that they had no table he could not have been nastier or more dismissive. Keep it up and you will be surprised how your business will drift away. With waiters like...him that’s all you deserve.More

My husband and I were looking for somewhere to eat on our first day in Prague when we happened upon this place. We waited an hour for two Caesar salads, which when they arrived consisted of brown soggy lettuce leaves,a few croutons and fried chicken...which had been fried in pork fat! I don't eat pork and the chicken just tasted like pork!! It cost us £19 for the two meals and two small beers, I couldn't eat my food and so left just as hungry as I'd arrived. Never again!!! This place was only given a rating of one because it was the only way to send in my review!More

We had lunch here twice since you end up in the area quite often being in the centre of the city. The first time we had an exceptionally good pork shank (portion for two) which was also very big. This seems to be the typical...dish of this restaurant. It was really good, but also a bit laborious to digest, particularly if you are supposed to do some sightseeing afterwards. The second time we kept a bit lighter with some stakes which were also good, although the pork shank was unrivalled. Service can be a bit sketchy depending on the number of visitors. Overall we were very satisfied. Credit cards accepted.More

Very disapointed. It took the waiter about 15minutes to bring the Menu and there were like only 4 people in the whole pub. Then the waiter also look at you at different way because Im Asian look like but I live in Prague already 25years...and can speak czech language fluently. Then comes to the food, me got like a half porpotion of duck where I swear there was only a bone and fat skin of the duck but Im czech friend got a full good portion. I dont supported such behavior and this pub at all. Please people dont eat there. ThanksMore

One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the
