Me and my friend ordered the degustation menu (tasting menu) with the wine pairing. We travel a lot and we always appreciate good food, wine and service. Sadly this experience did not live up to our expectations. We were very impressed with the amuse bouche...- it was delicious. Our appetizers were tasty and good. The wine was good. The rest of our dishes was served cold and was poorly seasoned. We tried to tell our waiter but he responed with ‘’I’m so sorry’’. If the restaurant had any sense of customer service, we would have been compensated in some sort of way. The waiter neglected to pour more of our water several times, and when he did he poured both sprakling and still water in the same glass… This is not what ruined the experience though. I was looking forward to a pleasent evening, but I am a bit shocked that we did not get all our dishes when we paid so much money. We did not get our petite four’s and a lot of the food was poorly seasoned and lacked stuff that was shown on the menu. We had the menu on our phones the whole night, and there were things lacking in some of the dishes, and we explained that to the waiter, but nothing happend. This isn't how a restaurant, supposedly of top caliber, is run. Some positive feedback: The restaurant had a nice vibe, we were warmly greeted, there was a pianist and the atmosphere was cosy and warm. Clean bathrooms. Great view from the rooftop. The dessert was shaped as an easter egg - cool.More

Excellent rooftop fine dining with excellent service and wine at the lovely Coda Hotel We enjoyed our long lunch, uninterrupted, not rushed, just basking in the beautiful sunlight while gazing at the beautiful views of Prague Castle, many churches, Old Town and red rooftops. Food...was delicious, recommend the steak and strawberry dumpings for dessert. Will be back next year!More

This is a special place for dinner, up on the roof terrace. The Food, the views, and the service are all top-notch. They offered us complementary caviar appetizers and only charged for the first glass of wine. An excellent experience.

Amazing view Food is ok but you'd expect something more Service is definitely not at the level you'd expect for this price level wine pairing is disappointing and not matching the menu Feels they target mostly tourists (like automatically charging for the tip) which you...try to avoid when you're local Overall expensive for what you get and you have better outcomes in PragueMore

We had booked this restaurant based on its great reviews and gorgeous posted pictures for a special occasion celebration. Upon arrival, we found the seating on the roof of the hotel to be very limited and some of the tables are arranged quite closely together...in a narrow row. While the view is lovely, I didn’t particularly enjoy having my chair touch the chair of the person sitting on the next table and feeling their every move. Once seated, I ordered an apple martini which is listed on their cocktail menu. Apparently, I was the only person who had ever ordered this drink! Our server said that he must go down to the hotel bar to have it made. OK…. 20 minutes later a drink resembling an apple martini arrives. They must have looked up an apple martini recipe and made something similar, but the cocktail was nothing special! Our food didn’t arrive correctly or together. One food was correct, and they had to go back to the kitchen and come out with the correct food for the second dish without any apology or warmth. Overall, I found the service at Coda restaurant to be abysmal and disorganized. When booking our reservation, we had noted that we are celebrating a special occasion and there was no acknowledgement or recognition of the event from the staff to mark the occasion. What should have been a memorable time turned into an evening filled with disappointment and a sense of being overlooked, displaying a lack of enthusiasm or hospitality. I would not recommend this restaurant for a special occasion, as it is evident that they do not prioritize their customers’ experience. It may be OK for a regular dinner with a view experience but don’t expect impeccable service.More

We ate here on our final night in Prague and it was the worst dining experience of the trip. We arrived at our reserved time of 7 pm on a rainy Monday evening. The terrace was closed so we were seated in the restaurant where...we were the only guests. Indeed, during our entire meal there was only one other couple seated, which in retrospect should have been a warning sign. There were 3 wait staff who served us; a young woman, and two middle-aged men. The young woman was pleasant and well-intended but obviously inexperienced and generally unknowledgeable. The two men were aloof and projected an attitude of boredom and smug condescension that one might expect in a Michelin star restaurant, but not here. The food included the crispy duck leg which was edible, if unremarkable. However, the service was glacially slow, especially given that we were the only guests. It was almost as if we were being held captive so the restaurant would not look completely empty. The wait staff at this restaurant should be required to shadow those of area restaurants with outstanding customer service. A good place to start would be the restaurant of the Pod Vezi Hotel near the Charles Bridge where we ate several times and where the wait staff went out of their way to be pleasant, engaging, considerate and knowledgeable. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g274707-d1091075-r893925928-Coda_Restaurant-Prague_Bohemia.html#More

Our lunch on the rooftop terrace was incredible and I will remember it forever! The delicious food, fantastic views, elegant atmosphere and attentive service were all perfect. I had the 3-course Czech tasting menu: creamy mushroom soup with dill, roasted duck with potato dumplings and...sauerkraut, and strawberry dumplings in strawberry sauce. The restaurant theme is music and our food was served on top of caricatures of famous musicians. (Mine was Mozart.) We sat outside under a partial umbrella and for almost two hours absorbed a privileged view of lovely rooftops and domes and spires of Prague’s most beautiful buildings, including the castle and multiple churches. There were a few bees hovering about the table but I don’t know what can be done about that. I am not scared of bees so didn’t say anything. This restaurant is accessed from inside the Aria Hotel, just take the elevator to the top floor and take a small set of stairs up on to the roof. I gathered it’s not ADA accessible. Reservations are necessary.More

Came here on the last day of our Prague trip and it was incredible. We were on the rooftop terrace which is a must! Such a wonderful view and so quiet that you feel you are in a movie. Food is lovely and staff are...fabulous too. My only recommendation would be for them to do cocktails. When we went there was only wine, beer and soft drinks. Having tried a number of fine dining restaurants whilst visiting Prague, this was our favourite.. we were here Saturday night 7/1 and were served by the fabulous Simon, attention to detail was amazing. Coming from a background in 5 star hospitality , it was super...to witness a master of his art at work and Simon was this. The trainee waitress was also super and she is truly learning her trade off the best , with Simon training her. We had oxtail soup and Fois gras starters, both were excellent. Main courses of fillet beef and deer with Octopus were superb. We followed these up with truffles and a cheese board - wow is all I can say. Red wine and champagne were also excellent. Fabulous ambience - we would travel again from Ireland for a meal served by Simon. Compliments to chef and waiter.More

Do not book with this restaurant if you are traveling and your plans could potentially change. We were very excited to have Christmas dinner here but unfortunately travel plans did not work out and we were stuck outside of Prague for Christmas. I cancelled as...soon as we knew our travel plans changed however they were completely inflexible with their cancellation policy. They charged me $432 to cancel our reservationa two days in advance! When I tried to explain our situation and hoped they would understand, the manager was rude and stated we knew their cancellation policy therefore there was nothing they could do. I cannot believe that a "high class" restaurant like this would not make at least one exception for guests traveling internationally. Although I haven't tried their food I would never recommend a place that won't at least work with their customers to understand unforseen circumstances. Awful service, awful manager and a place like this would be shut down in the States! Such terrible management!More

We arrived on a misty evening and started with drinks. The Maitre d’ Milan suggested a Frankova which was an excellent choice. Although they no longer serve food on the rooftop in winter, he took us and our drinks there for the view. The rooftop...was a great experience. The restaurant was very tastefully decorated in a musical theme consistent with the name of the restaurant and the dinner plates featured different music personalities. Mine was Gustav Mahler. We chose the Czech Tasting Menu with wine pairing and had no regrets. The Kulajda mushroom soup was very flavorful and went very well with the Gruve. Roasted duck leg was crispy on the outside and succulent inside and paired very well with the Merlot. The plum ravioli went paired smoothly with the Riesling desert wine. Altogether, the experience left a very good impression of Czech food and hospitality. Service was impeccable.More
