Everything was great about this place! Great staff that speak English for the tourists like we were, great local food, well cooked (not fancy but still good), prices are reasonable and it makes it a very good location with a very good quality/price ratio! Definitely...a recommend when you want to meet the local population!More

We enjoyed our last night in Prague at this local favorite. Casual, friendly attentive service, and a wide-ranging menu. Don't miss the home-cooked chips which you'll see being delivered to every table.

After enjoying hot wines in the wonderful Wenceslas Square Christmas Market in the New Town my twin brother Stephen and I decided to head to the vibrant Vinohrady District ,as the snow fell heavily we decided to drop into Deminka ,a pub I first visited...30 years ago ,loved it then ,love it even more now, been so many times I've lost count. A traditional pub ,I doubt it's not changed that much since it first opened ,ok ,a bit more modern decor and furnishings ,big screens to enjoy the sport but fundamentally unchanged since 1886 when it first opened it doors with high ceilings ,a solid wood serving bar and lots of seating options ,it's just a great pub to chill out in. We were here on a bitterly cold night ,snow falling ,temperatures into the minus ,pub was warm and inviting ,we luckily managed to find a table were we ordered beers from Pilsner Urquell Brewery ,these were served freezing cold ,we sipped our beers and took in the great pub we were in. I am a big fan of this famous Czech beer ,golden ,light, hoppy and bursting with taste and just so easy to drink ,it was just so good being in such a fantastic pub enjoying a really good beer sat with my twin brother Stephen who is the best beer companion in the world . We really enjoyed our beers in here and the great vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another beer each plus the famous becherovka before moving on to face the elements . Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday,11am till 11pm. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.More

In spite of appearing to be attached to a hotel, this is a very traditional looking pub that serves what looks to be good food and a good range of beer too. There's even a humidor full of cigars if that's your thing! Popular with...more locals than tourists its a nice location with some outdoor seating - will definitely be better once the roadworks have finished outside. Slightly off the beaten track, this is well worth a visit. Equally located between the Museum and I.P. Pavlova metro stations you have a choice of how to get here!More

I went to the bar on a recommendation of a local guy, who works at the reception of my appartment. Deminka is a beautiful Czech pub with local cuisine with plenty of space on the inside and outside. When you step into the bar you...see a massive bar counter in the old style. Food and beer with perfect ammount of 'foam' taste fantastic. Fresh, cold, refreshing. You should not miss this!More

My twin brother Stephen and I were pub hopping around the Vinohrady District when we decided to drop into Deminka ,a great pub we always look forward to dropping into. I love the look of this pub, established in 1886 ,the interior is cosy ,a solid...wood serving bar dominates the main room, great decor and furnishings,tv's to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub,all in all it's a great pub to unwind in. We ordered beers from Pilsner Urquell Brewery, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and the distinctive foamy head so characteristic of the way Czech beer is poured and served,we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great pub we were in. My beer was really good,a light, hoppy and unpretentious lager style beer bursting with taste ,very easy to drink,a beer style that my twinny and I really enjoy,it was just so good being in such a great pub enjoying a freezing cold beer. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Deminka is easy to locate along Skretova. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday,11am till 11pm. A great pub that's well worth checking out if you're in the area.More

The pub has a very good atmosphere. We didn’t have to wait much for the food, gulash was delicious. As far as I see, Czech people are more common in that pub, less tourists.

Good food and atmosphere at this bar restaurant. More like a bar with gear food. Ate here twice during a visit to Prague. Only saw it and took a chance but made a great decision. Food was great both nights and well priced. Staff efficient...and friendly could not fault them. Not chatty but then very busy. Would recommend without reservation.More
