We came here for dinner on our first night and can highly recommend eating here.
The husband has veal schnitzel and I had the pork with bacon and cheese. Food was lovely and the price was amazing!
2 mains, 3 x 0.5 lagers and a coffee including tip came to 700czk approx £27.

Everything was great about this place!
Great staff that speak English for the tourists like we were, great local food, well cooked (not fancy but still good), prices are reasonable and it makes it a very good location with a very good quality/price ratio!
Definitely a recommend when you want to meet the local population!

In spite of appearing to be attached to a hotel, this is a very traditional looking pub that serves what looks to be good food and a good range of beer too. There's even a humidor full of cigars if that's your thing! Popular with more locals than tourists its a nice location with some outdoor seating - will definitely be better once the roadworks have finished outside. Slightly off the beaten track, this is well worth a visit. Equally located between the Museum and I.P. Pavlova metro stations you have a choice of how to get here!

Nice room, very large and quaint
More locals than foreigners
Great food, desserts a little less
Very kind waiters (the chips didn't arrive and when we pointed it out they brought us a free portion)
Clever at the time of the account... amount indicated in crowns and euros according to them 93 euros we paid in exchange crowns 88 euros including tip
However it is worth spending a visit

I am living upstairs of them and had my birthday there lately. I am going there regularly and had one of the best days in my life :) the staff was amazing and helpful on everything! I reserved the private room for 25 and we were so comfortable there. The food we ordered came in less than 20 minutes for 25 people was amazing timing! Such a crowded and fully booked place on a weekend, it was a great performance. The prices are decent and acceptable compared to many other restaurants. I will of course continue to go there :)

My twin brother Stephen and I were pub hopping around the Vinohrady District when we decided to drop into Deminka ,a great pub we always look forward to dropping into.
I love the look of this pub, established in 1886 ,the interior is cosy ,a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, great decor and furnishings,tv's to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub,all in all it's a great pub to unwind in.
We ordered beers from Pilsner Urquell Brewery, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and the distinctive foamy head so characteristic of the way Czech beer is poured and served,we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great pub we were in.
My beer was really good,a light, hoppy and unpretentious lager style beer bursting with taste ,very easy to drink,a beer style that my twinny and I really enjoy,it was just so good being in such a great pub enjoying a freezing cold beer.
We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time.
Deminka is easy to locate along Skretova.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Sunday,11am till 11pm.
A great pub that's well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Very large place, like a wooden brewery. We followed the advice of our guide, who presented the place to us as traditional Czech. We ate fried cheese, fried chicken cutlet and goulash with bread, two nice beers, total €40. The goulash was delicious, the cutlet juicy, the potato salad (the side dish) very delicate, the cheese tasty. I loved it and it's a place I recommend!!

I went to the bar on a recommendation of a local guy, who works at the reception of my appartment. Deminka is a beautiful Czech pub with local cuisine with plenty of space on the inside and outside. When you step into the bar you see a massive bar counter in the old style.
Food and beer with perfect ammount of 'foam' taste fantastic. Fresh, cold, refreshing. You should not miss this!

Dinner with friends on our Prague weekend. All very good, friendly waiters and fast service. We had booked a few days before (it is recommended). Very good their beers, as well as desserts (very generous portions). Absolutely low price (for 4 dishes, 4 desserts and 8 medium beers and tip, we spent 92€). The only suggestion would be a menu with photos, for those who do not know English or have intolerances / allergies and google does not always translate at the top. Cmq maximum score.
We came back the next day too

Dad! Dad! They’ve got the foot ball on! Our lad couldn’t contain his excitement… all the bar staff were happy to go along with his enthusiasm… and the rest ofus enjoyed a great meal of czech food and very good beer. The high ceilings really make it a very pleasant place to sit. Highly recemmended

We wanted to try this restaurant on the first evening of our stay at the Deminka Palace, also intrigued by the positive reviews. It certainly proved to be of an appreciable standard, so much so that we returned for another 2 dinners. The meat dishes are excellent, first and foremost the goulash, followed by the duck and pork fillet, but also the grilled salmon, certainly worthy of note. Good desserts even if of a lower standard than the main courses. A separate note for the beer, of good quality, always served very fresh. Fast service especially in relation to the quantity of customers who normally frequent the place. Appreciable value for money. The only slightly discordant note was the excessive noise inside the room. When we return to Prague we will have an already well-tested solution for our dinners. Well done!

If there's one pub I know I'm going to visit on any holiday I take to Prague its Deminka.
This is a great looking pub, interior is superb, high ceilings, a cool looking serving bar, great decor and furnishings throughout this multi roomed pub and there's lots of seating options spread throughout this pub, its just a really good pub to unwind in.
We were here on a cold March night, pub was packed with a great atmosphere, we ordered beers from Pilsner Urquell Brewery, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and with the distinctive foamy head so characteristic of the way Czech beer is poured, we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub while we sipped our beers.
A big fan of this most famous of Czech beers, golden, hoppy and bursting with taste and very easy to drink especially when served freezing cold, it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying a quality brew and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world.
We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time.
Deminka is easy to locate along Skretova.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Sunday, 11am till 11pm.
Well worth checking out if you're in the New Town.

Found Deminka whilst out and about near our hotel. Lovely looking pub/bar on the inside. Menu available in English for those that don't speak Czech. Good variety available. Asked one of the staff about some of the food we weren't sure of. Gnocchi and Goulash were ordered. The Gourlash was nice, the bread lovely and fresh, the dumplings were nice but quite heavy to eat. Gnocchi was interesting as it came with some meat that we weren't expecting. Both meals were nice. Staff seemed friendly and nice. Would recommend

We dined here twice during our 4 night city break to Prague, it was recommended by the hotel receptionist.
It was easy to find, very busy (always a good sign) and has a good menu. Ranges from starters, international cuisine a well as traditional Czech dishes - I opted for the latter and wasn't disappointed.
Service was good s was the food and the beer.
