If there's one pub I know I'm going to visit on any trip to Prague I take it's Pivnice U Sadu. Established in 1929 ,this is one of the most famous pubs in the Zizkov District, the interior is amazing, set over two floors, a...rustic look,an eye catching serving bar, great decor and furnishings, every inch of wall and ceiling space is festooned with assorted bric a brac,tv's to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling streets around this pub, its just a great pub to unwind in. We were here on a Wednesday evening, we ordered beers from Cerna Hora Brewery, these beers were served in excellent condition, we just kicked back and took in the great pub we were in. My beer was really good, poured and served with the distinctive foamy head so characteristic of Czech beer ,this beer was a light, hoppy and unpretentious lager style beer bursting with taste, very easy to drink, a beer style both myself and my twin brother Stephen are particularly fond of ,it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying a quality brew. On this visit I cannot really comment on the meals as we were only here for beers but I have ate many times over the many years I've been visiting Prague and they are delicious, proper Czech cuisine ,hearty and filling. We really enjoyed our beers in here and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to Pivnice U Sadu we had a great time. Pivnice U Sadu is easy to locate along Skroupovo Namesti. Opening hours are; Monday, 8am till 2am. Tuesday to Saturday, 8am till 4am. Sunday, 8am till 2am. A wonderful pub, if you're in the Zizkov District most definitely well worth seeking out.More

Pivnice U Sadu on Škroupovo náměsti is an excellent pub that serves a good food and drink's menu and is one of the many places we visited on a seven day trip to Prague. Located in the shadow of Žìžkov tower'this superb pub offer ten...Czech draught beers and a menu of hearty Czech cuisine which is well priced.Established in 1929'Pivnice U Sadu has a unique interior'with a fantastic ground floor level and a superb basement area. The ground floor area has very good seating option's and throughout the whole interior many interesting fixtures with some of them on the ceiling. The basement area has more of a pub feel to it with pub game's on offer and plenty of good seating options and an excellent bar area.We have visited here numerous times over the years and have had some superb meals and excellent beers in here that are well priced. As we had just had a meal we opted for an excellent Czech beer from the Cerna Hora brewery which were superb and really well priced.Pivnice U Sadu is a fantastic pivnice and is well worth a visit as its a very historic pivnice that stays open extremely late and is easy to find from Jìřího Z Poděbrad tram or metro stop it's a few minute's walk.(This is my review of Pivnice U Sadu). Opening Hours. Monday-08.00-02.00. Tuesday-Saturday-08.00-04.00. Sunday-08.00-02.00. Public Transport. Bus Stop. Bus Stop. Jìřího Z Poděbrad bus stop. Metro Stop. Jìřího Z Poděbrad metro stop. Nice pub close to Žižkov tower. Perfect for late drinks and food, considering is open until morning. Very basic food and beers, don't expect to be in a fancy place, but is definitely a good place to hang out after a night out

Worst bar ever, worst service, really rude waiter. The service was bad and when we didn’t leave tip the waiter insulted us and said not to come back. Don’t waste your money and time here.

A hidden gem. Wonderful food, great choice of beers, quick service. All dishes were really perfect. It's a pity that we discover this place at the end of our trip (

Been going to Prague for around 9 years now and this is the best bar we have visited. We went all day on Saturday. Great value for food and drinks, brilliant atmosphere and amazing staff. Really can’t fault it. Would recommend ordering the pan of...sausages beer snacks!! 10/10.More

Fairly cheap traditional Czech food. Friendly and fast service and big portions. The goulash was very tender and the sauce was just heavenly.

If you go to see from close the tv antenna, go to U sadu for a beer afterwards and for some local food. We loved the ambience and the beer of course! Be ready to share your table!

This pub is known for its long opening hours - good standard of beer but my nachos this time had a strange type of melted cheese - still edible but felt a bit like plastic :-(

We enjoyed a couple mid after beers and a little food here too and we never wanted to leave. It has such a great vibe. It’s quiet, authentic, affordable and so relaxing too. This pub is the poster child for what all Czech pubs could...be and should be. We sat outside on a glorious warm spring day and it really was a idyllic place to enjoy good friends and a few beers. I highly recommend this classic Praha pub away from all the hustle and bustle!!More
