Pub and bar hopping around the wonderful New Town we decided to drop into Vortex Pub ,a pub we've had some great times in ,its a pub I always look forward to visiting. I love the look of this cool cellar pub,its got a light...and airy interior, a long serving bar, multi roomed with great decor and furnishings including plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, it really is a great pub. We were here on a Friday night, we were here at 6pm ,the pub had just opened so we were about the first customers of the day so we could appreciate what a great pub this is ,we ordered a beer each and opted to have Bernard Brewery ipa, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just chilled out and took in the great pub we were in. I really enjoy Bernard Brewery beer and the ipa we had was just superb, such a light, hoppy and unpretentious beer bursting with taste, very easy to drink, a beer style I am particularly fond of and at 29 czk amazing value for money. We really enjoyed our beers in here, as we were pub and bar hopping we only stayed for the one beer each before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Vortex Pub is easy to locate on Jungmannova ,you will find this pub down a passageway which opens up to a courtyard. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, 6pm till 6am. A wonderful pub,one I highly recommend you visit if your in the area.More

Arrived quite early so was quiet - but staff actually made the experience. Friendly and helpful. Decor is great so I am sure ambience is good later as it gets busy!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good food range and it was pretty good value for money. Went for 2 nights in the end. Second night was a bit noisier with the music. But a good find - recommended.

The Bernard beer is awful. Served flat tonic and tried to pass it off as fevertree. Then tried to charge for an extra vodka. 😡

Here on tripadvisor, their website and Facebook said the place is open yesterday. We took a cab to the pub and it was closed with no note on the door. Waste of time and money.

We visited the pub last week, because we read many good reviews. The palce was a big disappointment, they had only 2 type of draft beer. :( We don't recommend it.

Whilst walking along the road we saw the sign for the Vortex Pub beer festival and thought why not. We walked along and all we could see from the direction we came in from was the restaurant along the Alley. Then we saw the steps...going down and thought why not. We are so glad we did. We were greeted with a friendly smile. They had only just opened up and was setting up but beckoned us in. We were given the menu and decided to choose two different ones. They were really good. My husband decided to have another one but neither of us could remember which was which. The lovely barman gave him a taste so he could chose the right one. Initially we were the only ones in there but we were soon joined by others. I only wished that I had known that they did food as we would have stayed and eaten instead of leaving to find some food. It was really strange having to go down another flight of stairs to the toilets. I didn't realise that these basements were on multi levels. We enjoyed the beer and the company at the Vortex pub. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We don't smoke, so I'm glad we went in early as we probably wouldn't have stayed if we could smell smoke.More

This is hidden away down some steps along a passage off of Jugmannova. It is well sign posted to direct you in! It's a lovely light bunker with a great a great selection of beers. The only thing that ruined it for us was the...cigarette smoke. I can imagine that when this place gets busy it could get rather heavy! It's worth a try!More

This place was amazing! It looks like a wine cellar located downstairs but don't miss it. My friends and I stumbled upon it our first night in Prague. The new owner Luka Is gorgeous and friendly. He plays good Czech music mixed with some American...songs--something you'll want to add to your playlist. It's a chill place to drink and mingle. I'd recommend getting the beer platter too. Who knows if you get to know Luka, he may even take a few shots with you!! Enjoy!More

Great little bar with so much choice. 'Bernard'(beer) was my favourite. Quite busy considering it's 'down a rabbit hole'!! Very friendly staff. Went there on our last day so couldn't try too many. I guess the only down side for us was that it's a...smoking bar although not too bad when we were there.More
