Praha 13's neighborhood pub, a part of the The P.U.B. chain, I feel, profits mainly from a mind-boggling lack of even semi-decent pubs anywhere near the Nové Butovice metro station. Modern, clean, expansive, it's very lively for lunch and in the afternoon. Tank Pilsner Urquell...at a passable price helps fuel that too - it's great to have a place to get it fresh in the quarter. The lunch menu prices are good I reckon too. And that's it basically. The service is busy, quick and efficient usually, but as others have said, depending on the person, not necessarily pleasant - and yeah, very tip-hunting without necessarily giving good reason for being tipped. Could be that the wages are set up that way, wouldn't know, but not great from the customer perspective. Had good / okay experiences, had "meh" experiences. Also... the food. Can't say I was thrilled. Might go for one of their burgers or grilled stuff at some point, that could be better - but the lunch stuff... dunno, guess I wasn't lucky thus far. They were apparently already out of the lunch menu by 13:30 last time I visited - okay, not their fault perhaps, but then I had to choose between the generic a la carte stuff, chose svíčkova na smetaně - and that Czech classic, while palatable, was perhaps the blandest and maybe sweetest I'd had thus far outside of TV dinner versions. Okay, but honestly not much more. So yeah... not necessarily hyping me up for the rest. It's 3.5 for now, slightly weighed down, but I'll give it a chance or two more and hopefully feel confident to raise the score. I'd love for it to prove to be better than I'd experienced thus far.More
