Oh my Lord, this is the bestest place in Prague itself. The wine, the food, the service... It is pricey, yes, but we paid for quality and we got just that. Thank you, for this wonderful experience!!!

Fantastic experience to the special event „svatomartinský košt”. New wines with traditional dishes to Saint Martin‘s. The experience and advice of the sommeliers was spot on.

The great challenge is to combine places where you can have good wine for a fair price and also some decent beet on tap for those who refuse to drink wine or who want to alternate. Kostovna offers both and the beer is Urquell, so...the proper one. Food also include good salads. Need to make a booking in advance as this place is allways busyMore

The restaurant was on the way to the hotel, so we walked in with no prior plan to visit. It turned out to be just great! My husband and I ordered variety of spreads (5 flavours) with bread, which was devine <3 and a speck...of mangalica pork on a slice of bread, which was delicious too. This is a wine place with a nice wine range, I had Tramin (semidry) and my hubby later took Cabernet Sauvignon, which were very good too. The service was fast and the guys working there were friendly so we enjoyed the place a lot. Worth the visit defo!More

Nice winebar near to our hotel. Too tired to go further and this place was surprisingly very nice. We took Chezich red wine and some tapas. Waitress told they are planned for one but we decided to take couple of different types and shared. It...was totally enough.More

The venue became our (not only) favorite place to sit, eat and taste wine, this time also spirits, "Spirits of Old Austria-Hungarian Empire", accompanied by scraps (greaves), one meal of a pig slaughtering season... Speacial and seasonal actions make the difference! We enjoyed spirits of...15 various fruits (apricot, raspberry, apple) and of various taste (choc, cummin, anise, and liqueurs too.More

Friends and me, we spent here another great annual celebration of wines: this time - wines of St. Martin and Beaujolais Nouveau. Select wines were served by choice accompanied by appropriate seasonal meals related to the Czech tradition of St. Martin's Day, i.e. duck pate,...a broth of duck, and of St. Martin's roasted duck or goose ...The atmosphere over there was festive, staff very attentive, prices affordable, reservations made in advance to fit in, wishes fulfilled so everybody was satisfied and enjoyed the feast. Vive St. Martin's wine! And --- Le Beaujolais Nouveau est arrivé!More

The Kostovna (i.e. an acronym, or jargon name to the place where tastings are made) is a nice, almost feel-like-at-home place, very popular, reservations on Friday evening needed! There's a nice, attentive staff, helping new visitors to make a choice too. Affordable prices of wine...tasting samples (table and AOC wines), small meals to accompany wine... A pleasant discovery!More

THis is not a restauraurant where you'd go to satiate your appetite for a lunch or dinner. If you, however, look for a simple place to drink variety of wines and not leave half of your paycheck there, this is the place. They offer snacks,...such as pate, cheese, hams, salami. Olives and bread are plain, not gourmet, but as I said, this is a rather modest place. Outdoor seating in the garden in the back as well as enough tables inside make this one of the favourite places to go in the area, even without reservation.More

I have to admit that this has become my favourite place in Prague. Years ago we were looking for a small pub/wine bar where we could escape time to time and recharge when visiting our family and U Poctu was recommended to us. Over the...years we have seen it change from a very quiet place to an exceptionally popular and vibrant little wine bar and it is just a pleasure to see. The wine is very good, selection is wide...we will always aim to try Moravian and Austrian wine only as these are not really available at home. Even the food selection is spot on in my opinion. While I do not want it to become so popular that one day we will not be able to get a seat when we want (it is already difficult sometimes 🙂) I still, even though with gritted teeth, highly recommend this place, it is worth it 🙂!More
