A salad for 15 euros. Seriously. A thimble full of orange juice for 5 euros. The chicken tandoori was so overcooked it was indiscernible from the wooden skewer it came on. It was very busy which usually implies quality. I feel used.

I'd say it's one of the largest selections of cake, sandwiches, bread and coffee in the city. Not very large in terms of seating area and the seats by the windows are strange (you have to crawl under the table to get to them). The sandwiches we had were tasty, the flat white and tea were also very good. Would... More

A must visit for a casual afternoon coffee break. Relaxed atmosphere with a great selection of cakes, carrot cake was our favourite. The seating is not great although plenty available

I like this place for its great coffee and delicious cakes especially cheese cake. Nice chairs with view to the street or in summer outside :)

Quirky, but good coffee, a great selection of things for a light breakfast and friendly service. Definitely worth a visit.

We came here twice, once for breakfast (highly recommend the pain au chocolat!) and again for cake. The carrot cake and devils food chocolate cake were both amazing, so fresh and yummy! We highly recommend Bakeshop for breakfast/a sweet treat.

Found this by accident when I got lost near the Jewish quarter and was v hungry. Had lovely selection of bread, pastries, sandwiches, soups, omelettes, quiches.... Did not see the typical Czech dishes on display. Was popular with tourists if all ages. Can take out food or eat on high stools. Not best place to rest tired legs. Salads were... More

Dear Traveller, Thank you for the compliments. We are very happy that you enjoyed the salad bar selection. Everything is fresh every day and we aim to provide a healthy alternative to the meat heavy style of Czech cuisine. We do have some traditional sweets, including apple and berry strudel, plum and poppyseed cake and an apricot and almond tart... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
