we visited on valentine’s day and really enjoyed ourselves. the restaurant has a great atmosphere, staff are kind and gave us great recommendations on what to try, we had the sliders and dumplings both were great. matty the dog also comes to say hello and likes pats which is always nice when travelling and missing your own pets

Brilliant service and decor. The restaurant is the top two floors of the building and has a beautiful view of the castle.
The food was incredible. We had the mixed platter and avocado tartar to start which was delicious.
My husband ordered the goulash which he has said is the best he has ever had! I had the lasagne which was really nice although quite a big portion!
It was my husbands birthday and so he was given a slice of cake for free - very thoughtful!
If we return to Prague again we will definitely be returning.

This is our second visit to Vegans Prague we went 2 years ago and this time it was even better:) my partner had the goulash and I had the svickova. We shared hummus and roasted veg for a starter. The hummus seemed home made and was delicious. I have never tried meat svickova so can't compare but it was very nice and very unique to any other food I've had. We had beers with our meal also. It was easy to reserve a table with them on Facebook messenger a day in advance. We also had desserts which were amazing even my boyfriend who isn't vegan liked them :) Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. highly recommend this place best vegan place in Prague one of the best in Europe !!

The food is indeed really exquisite and delicious, especially the desserts, and the restaurant offers accessible and affordable fares. The neighborhood has a lot of charm. However, the waitresses are not particularly welcoming, and lack some interpersonal skills. Not a lot of locals going there, only tourists - treated like tourists. Dommage.

This restaurant is only vegan to make money. Staff and cooks are not vegan, there is no vegan ideals or as a way of living. The food is horrible, pure oil, outrageous prices. Such a disrespect for vegans all over the world. You as a vegan feels like a sucker, and non vegans feels how stupid to be a vegan is, expensive and horrible food. Their hamburger dish costs more then a 500 gram steak in a fancy restaurant in Prague or a Salmon with garnishes and drink. Their food portions are ridiculously small and the drinks too, orange juice served in a wine glass filled to half. If you are vegan don't be fooled. It is difficult to eat in Czech Republic but thanks to the Chinese and Indian restaurants you will be fine for 1/3 of the price and double of the food.

Cute top floor spot in the heart of Prague that I really wanted to like. But the dishes weren’t great. I got the dumpings to start which tasted like bread with tomato soup dropped on top. And then got a cake for desert that was very dry. Maybe I ordered badly? But food was too flavourless for the reviews this place has received from others. Debated between two or three stars, and don’t like marking vegan restaurants so lowly, but going off the dishes I had it’s a 2*.

Hello Jamie,
thank you for your visit and review.
You ordered our Czech classic dish tomato sauce with rice (probably you said, you wanted our homemade dumplings instead of rice). In our country we have many types of dumplings. The type What we have are made from bread (thats why you felt bread 😊) you can find also potato dumpling, filled dumplings but you cannot compare them to asian dumplings, they are completely diffrent.
What I dont understand why you didnt say anything, we could change you meal immediately or cancel it ☹️ Thats why we are always asking if everything is ok (first when you are eating, second when you are paying)
I am sad that you didnt enjoy but thank you for your feedback
Sincerely
Lukas

This restaurant is close to the castle which makes the prices to be a bit higher. On the other side, you can get a view of the castle and most importantly the food is amazing. They even make typical Czech food in a vegan way and it can compete with the original.

I was in Prague for a congress (sadly in the soulless Hilton Prague) and had found Vegan's Prague online a few weeks before travelling so booked ahead. This was actually my first visit to a vegan restaurant, so I was really excited and keen to visit.
Unfortunately, on the evening I had booked for, I didn't feel up to it, so I re-booked for two nights later. Unfortunately it seemed my email went astray, but when I arrived just 1.5 hours before I hoped to eat, I was welcomed by Lukas and got a booking with no problem.
For me, everything about this place is excellent. My only problem was what to order and that the portions were substantial!
The food is beautiful and tasty, and the organic wine I ordered was sublime. The staff were really kind and friendly, which was especially nice as I was dining alone. They went out of their way to talk to me and to listen.
Also, in general, the atmosphere is lovely. A very relaxed place. Simple decor, no frills, just as it should be.
There is a lovely balcony with an absolutely incredible view of the castle and a lovely glimpse of one of the cathedrals (I forgot the name). Nice cosy, warm red wraps are available to keep you warm outside where I enjoyed my dessert and camomile tea.
I almost ate everything, but couldn't finish my dessert, which the kitchen staff kindly put in a box wrapped in tin foil for me.
I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough for both vegans and non-vegans alike. The entrance is also welcoming and the climb up the stairs well worth the effort!
Thank you to Lukas and all the staff for a lovely evening!

Before having the chance to visit the restaurant, me and my girlfriend used to get their food delivered so we were aware of the quality of what Vegan's restaurant had to offer (the vegan gulash is a must!). The place is cozy and lovely and the service was outstanding: the staff was kind, professional and super friendly. We definitely felt at ease and we had a great lunch.
I absolutely recommend this restaurant!

Highly recommend!!! This place was one of the best restaurants we visited in Prague. It is hidden in a quiet district of Prague, but if you go upstairs you'll find yourself on a beautiful terrace. The service was perfect, the waitresses well informed about the dishes. We ate Buddha bowl which was very fresh and the vegan gulash with tempeh, perfect to try a traditional dish the vegetarian way! Highly recommend!!!

One of my friends is vegan and wanted to try here. I'd never properly tried a full vegan meal so I wasn't too sure what to expect.
We were greeted by very friendly and polite staff members. We were a group of 5 so did have to wait a little while for a table.
The menu was nicely varied with lots of different options. We each ordered a meal and we didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive. The food was absolutely delicious, really tasty and generous portion. We only came for lunch and this filled me up for the rest of the day!
This restaurant gave me a new outlook on vegan food, and I'll definitely be trying more vegan food in the future!

I really enjoyed this restaurant. It was a great opportunity to enjoy Czech food as a vegetarian since many other restaurants were heavy on meat. Quality food, friendly staff, beautiful decor, nice view of the castle. Lots of stairs, but worth the climb. We returned 3 times during our stay.

After reading so many good reviews I was expecting very good meal. Instead, I received tasteless and average food but looking good and has offered by very welcoming service. Everything was excellent except the taste which in my opinion is the most important part. We have had 2 starters and 2 mains (veganised Czech dishes) all well presented but very mild and flavourless. Very disappointed.

Hello Hania,
thank you very much for your visit and review. Like you wrote, you had our czech specialities (i guess one of them was svickova), especially the svíčková is very mild dish (traditional Czech recipe), so i guess it wasn’t tasteless but only it wasn’t your “taste”.
That’s why we always ask you twice if everything is Ok with the food (1st when you are eating, 2nd you are paying) if its not ok, we can immediately change your order or deleted. We want to have only Happy customers, but you have talk to us guys :(
Anyway thank you again
Sincerely

Before visiting Prague I had this on my list to visit whilst there. We got there when the place opened so we were the only ones there. Just be warned it’s a few lots of stairs to get to the place as it’s above another shop but it’s such a beautiful restaurant you won’t be bothered about the stairs! They do lots of choice, we both had the goulash!!! I finally got chance to try a homemade lemonade, it was cucumber and I’m glad I did! Very refreshing. They do outside seating but it was absolutely roasting the day we went so we sat inside, only problem there was were the wasps inside flying around out food.

I loved the place. The service is fast and the food delicious. We had a pumpkin soup, an avocado tartar and a zucchini lasagna. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and only real food is served. Also very well presented, although I could only take pics of the last dish... we were too hungry!

Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
