Fabulous little find with friendly service and amazing beer and food. The pickled sausage was unreal and I can highly recommend the pancakes. Brilliant view and fab prices.
Visited quickly with my mum for couple of beers and absolutely fab garlic and cheese soup. Exceptional pilsner Urquell on draft! Will most definitely go again when in the city next time.
We ordered the fish and the veal wiener snitzel. They tasted good but not really special. Both don't impress really. Waitresses also don't impress. They are not really friendly and kinda rushed. The veal snitzel supposed to be with potatoes salad but it came with...cucumber salad. And then the speed. Lightning fast.. We had our food in 5 minutes. Just took one sip of the drinks. For me it was to fast. Rather expensive for the experience and the service. Restaurant does looks really nice.More
As we were told by locals this is THE place to go, we went. It's a really nice and enjoyable place, very good food, friendly service, and the beer is, of course, excellent. It is very crowdy, however, and you might sit very close to...a big table of very loud people, making even conversation difficult. If conversation is not your primary aim, perfect. If it is, you might think twice.More
Great location and atmosphere right across from Republic Square. Menu available in multiple languages including English. We stopped for lunch and ordered from their daily menu which is good and reasonably priced. I had Grilled Chicken Steak with peas, beans and mashed potato. Susan had...Spatzle with ripened cheese, roasted onion and small salad. Both lunches were great and we are planning our return.More
Hard to fault... Perfect beer quality! Food was delicious and a great range between wonderful traditional Czech dishes to more cosmopolitan delights. Could have a meal out of the starter menu alone .... Thanks to the team at LeKarna for a great night out and...authentic Czech hospitality.More
After tasting the mediocre food in Prague I am so glad we visited Pilsen and this restaurant. They have an English menu and staff who spoke English well. The highlights from the menu was ENTREE: roasted marrow bones, veal steak tartar and the antipasti platter...MAINS: veal schnitzel DESSERT: lava cake (I could eat 2 of these!) My husband ordered the Pilsner beer and he mentioned it was extremely delicious and very cold. I ordered the Obelisk rose wine by the glass (they had a good wine selection which was a nice change as I do not drink beer). The venue itself is also really modern and nice. Very Well priced and great portion sizes.More
Good food, good service. The pork kneck was super. We enjoy a tradicional Pilsen beer and could knew about the place history. Recomend.
The waiter got us extra bread and it was his own initiative :) Good beer. Good food. Good garden. We had fun.
I took my 20 colleagues into the restaurant which has been recommended by several friends. There is a good beer, food was OK. But the service very poor. Some problems with the order (one colleague didn’t get the food at all), waiting for the cutlery....And one of the member was really rude! Screaming on the people (obviously not speaking Czech) Czech, refusing to listen to any kind request or order, using dirty words (not only foreigners were there). So I was ashamed to take my colleagues there - never ever!More
While not the cheapest place around, the beer they serve is freshest and so is the food. Food is of a high quality and made of very fresh ingredients, the beer being super fresh is a must. It was recommended to us by a local...coffee shop owner as a best beer in Pilsen. Be aware, the place is packed and the service is on the stiff side.More
We came here, cause our friends told us its a beautiful place. And it is! We where in part called Šenk, cause in Restaurant wherent free table, all booked up. We had a great beer and I had a goulash soup with baked bread, my...friend had weal steak with potatoes. It was so delicious, tasty. Wasnt hungry at all after eating the soup. She eates everything. The tapster there was funny and friendly. The place looks amazing and the food is great too. We really enjoyed it. Will come back soon.More
We stopped in at this place during a recent holiday in the Pilsen area and quite enjoyed it. The overall feel is like a small beer hall and the local Pilsner beer is fresh on tap. In fact, the beer taps are in plain sight...and there is a sign on them identifying the barman by name and that he's successfully completed Pilsner Urquell's beer tapping course and is certified by them to competently tap their beer. We ordered schnitzels and they were great. The meat was tender, the portion size was just right and we got a very nice cherry compote thrown in. It is a bit pricey by a Czech restaurant standard, but that is more reflective of its location on the main square of a city that sees its fair share of tourism. All in all, I'd recommend you try it at least once if you're in Pilsen.More
When in Pilzen, try the Pilzener beer, right? This was a very good venue at which to do so. The service was above average, and what I particularly liked were the snacks. The dark bread and pork belly dip plus the cheese and beer one...were excellent and something different for me.More
