Best restaurant in Pilsen, great environment, amazing kitchen, friendly for families with children, fabulous service, friendly staff!

The food was simply amazing! We ate the dessert even though we were so full. First time I was so satisfied with vegetarian option (grilled vegetable salad) in the clearly rather meat restaurant.

We went for a Sunday lunch with friends, we were 7 adults and 4 children. We arrived just a bit after 12:00 and had ordered 4 soups by 12:15. Only after asking the waiter how long will we have to wait were the soups served...at just before 13:00. Then the empty soup bowls just sat there, even though the waiter "checked" our table. Again, we waited and waited for the main dishes to be served. When I asked what was taking so long, the waiter told me that it all has to be cooked, and that there is only one cook in the kitchen. But when I took a look at everything on the menu, it was all "hotovky", all were foods that must be cooked beforehand and heated and plated to serve: Svíčková, guláš, koleno, hovězí líčka, etc.. No real "cooking". The food was ok, whoever cooked it does know how to cook. But the overall organization on how it gets to the customer quickly is a disaster. It does not help that the waitstaff spends lots of time at the bar talking and laughing while your glasses are empty and you have your empty plate in front of you for 30 minutes (some of the plates were not cleared even when we were leaving). Sloppy. No, not sloppy, the waitstaff just did not care, and they clearly showed it. Even after speaking to the owner and the waiter to give them some honest feedback, the waiter still forgot to bring the water that we had ordered. The waitstaff really sent a clear message that they do not give a sh-t. It is a real shame, the place looks nice and must have cost a bundle to furnish. But I cannot recommend, nor will we nor our friends go there again. I remember when I have been disappointed in restaurants in the past, at Černá Ovce, I left slightly pissed-off as well as disappointed. Oh, and if you are looking forward to some of the specialties that they list on their website, prepare to be disappointed since what they are serving may be considerably less and different than what they list on their website. And do not look forward to the "home made" bread. Its clearly not home made, even though they slice it about 3 cm thick. Very, very amateur across the board.More
