3x and still not enough to try everything

This restaurant is the best so far we have visited during 10days at Mariánské lázně. Service is great, very clean and everything is prepared with love. You feel the taste of every ingredients nothing disrupting the taste by chemical additives. Price is higher on edge of $$-$$$ but the taste and experience pays off. I definitely and highly recommend this place.

Authentic Czech food with friendly service

We came to this resturant looking for authentic good quality Czech food and we were certainly not dissapointed! Waiter was warm and friendly and we got feeling right away this was a good choice for a cozy dinner. It seems a popular place with the locals and its situated in quiet discreet part of town. We asked for the the pig knee ("vepřové koleno") which was sold out but waiter was quick to offer to keep one especially for us if we would be interested in coming again the following night, thinking it must be good we agree to reserve it. We still ordered a gulash and duck and both dishes were excellent and after eating we did not regret our choice of reserving for the next night. Next evening we had beef tartar for appetizer and it is the best we have had, higly recommended! After we had the pig knee which was also excellent and served in authentic tradition.

Promising place, food could improve

The decor and ambience made a good first impression. However, I expected more from their food. It was somewhat average. I tried a starter that was okay - homemade chips with a mayo based garlic dip. All the other starters had also seemed artisanal and worthy of giving them a go. I appreciate they only offered four well thought out items and no more. As for the main course, my duck was alright, but I’d eaten better ducks before. The dumplings were perhaps a little dry and could be fresher, plus the meal felt really heavy in the stomach, even for a duck. It was too greasy. I think the menu would also deserve some slimming. There are still too many items (other restaurants in the area fare a lot worse on this aspect, though), resulting in lack of fresh food. For example, I’d scrap the whole “na objednavku” section to focus on the true Czech classics and make them from better and fresher ingredients. The four stars are for a promising concept of a Czech restaurant that fits in the town well, but there’s still a long way to five star perfection.

Very very good

One of the best restaurants where I had dinner on a vacation. Starter with chips was AMAZING. Main dish was great. I'm usually not the biggest fan of pork meat but it was really tender. You can taste that everything is fresh. Staff is friendly.

We came back for tasty food

We were here both for lunch and dinner. We all liked everything we tasted: tender goose for dinner, grilled pork steak for lunch, tasty duck for lunch, gulash and ribs for dinner. Everything was very tasty. Kid tried every dish and liked it. As a highlight: homemade potato chips -- recommendation. They accept cards and speak several languages.

The food was very good, both taste and quantity. Wait time was very long. A piece of advice for management: when a customer complains about the wait time and the waiter says "but you are only waiting for this time"...extremely unprofessional. The reason I complain is because I am unhappy so please do not throw it back in my face that "only x minutes". A more reasonable approach would be "hey, i am really sorry you had to wait. Let me see what is the status...". Thus the reason I take 2 stars away.

Traditional Czech food

We chose this restaurant because of the attractiveness of the mixed opinions, and we were not disappointed. First of all, the kindness of the owner, Martin, who welcomed us with great sympathy. He advised us to have the duck, which turned out to be excellent, stewed in a traditional way and accompanied by good Czech beer. Reasonable price, you can pay in crowns or euros, as they do not accept cards, a small inconvenience but a magnificent dinner.

Czech classics in a friendly atmosphere

Reservations by email 24 hours in advance worked out great. Menu in Czech, English and German. Everyone spoke German. Friendly, committed and cheerful waiter. Everyone else in the team was also really friendly. THE restaurant and the outdoor seating was fully booked - while many nearby restaurants had few guests. We opted for liver dumplings, sauerkraut soup and then goulash & sauerbraten. As expected, Bohemian/Czech preparation at its finest. Plus a super fresh, crispy side salad. Both main courses were served with two kinds of homemade dumplings. Bread rolls and Karlovy Vary dumplings. There was also fish and spinach dumplings, for example..... . The sauerkraut soup was the soup of the day and was recommended. And rightly so. However, dessert was no longer possible. We were full. We can give an unreserved recommendation.

Fantastic

On a cold wet evening in January it was such a delightful pleasure to be greeted by a Young Lady and Young Man who were so warm in greeting and seating. Fortunately we had booked as the Restaurant was very full and full of atmosphere. Our Meal was fantastic and service just right and if you want good Grandma’s cooking czech meals this is the place to go. I would really commend all those who are in the kitchen and working in this restaurant

Cosy place, located somewhat off the main streets of the town, but easy to find. The service is great. The food is typical Czech and delicious. We ordered the trout, mixed grill, soup, potato pancakes, etc, and everything was good. Recommended.

We stayed here twice for dinner last week and can only report positive things. Friendly, fast service, well-drawn beer and above all very tasty food. On the first evening we had a delicious beef steak, fried perfectly medium, with garlic bread. For an appetizer, we tried the crusty, homemade potato chips with honey and garlic sauce. Very good indeed. At the second meal, a Viennese-style schnitzel, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, as it must be. Add some old Bohemian fried potatoes. My companion had the duck with three different dumplings. She still raves about this dish today. It was excellent. For us, Hospudka is the best Czech restaurant in Mariánské Lázně. If you feel ripped off here, please go to the snack bar.

This was the first time we were offered snails and they were really very well prepared. The whole ambience is modern and yet it still has the flair you would expect from Bohemian cuisine. The food is really exceptional and the service was very attentive.

Expensive but excellent Staff: The waiter was super nice. He immediately made recommendations for the day and was happy to explain what was what. We felt very comfortable. Food: Garlic soup was fantastic. Spare ribs were also incredibly tasty. We haven't had such a good side salad in a long time. Atmosphere: Rustic and cozy. Warning: if it's cold, sit where the oven is on. We found it too cold. Prices: We found it a bit expensive. We would have paid that in Munich too. See bill (25 Krone=1 Eur)

very friendly and competent staff. Great food. We were greeted very warmly and were given a table even though we didn't have a reservation. The food came quickly and tasted really great. The prices are definitely justified. As we are here for 7 days, we will definitely go here again. Thumbs up 👍

Rustic restaurant with delicious Czech cuisine. Service friendly and fast. The food is very good, so is the beer. Delicious Bohemian dumplings with goulash or duck. The liver dumpling soup is great. The portions are neat. Value for money fits in my opinion. The restaurant is in a side street but very well attended. A reservation is recommended. There is a covered beer garden.
