We went to Medite for dinner while on a short break to Marianske Lazne on a friend's reccomendation. It didn't disappoint. The food was excellent. Ther service was even better (Thanks Nicole :) ) Between the three of us we had almost everything on the...menu and it was all good. I won't desribe the food but I will give a special mention to the hot prawns in a spicy sauce. It's a little bit out of tourist central but it is worth the stroll and there is a bus stop (Knihovna) right outside the restaurant. We went back to the restaurant for lunch on the way to the station on our way home. Food was as good but the service wasn't quite as perfect.More

I was last here 3 years ago when I really had a great meal and welcoming service. Well things change and imho not for the better here. I feel the service is a long way from where it needs to be, the food lacking taste...and the value for money factor is low. In these covid times I do not appreciate rubbing shoulders with another table 30cm from my table especially when other tables are free (not reserved). I did reserve. I dont think customers like very close proximity dining nowadays, appreciate you are small but if there is space then use it spread people out as best you can. Menu was not explained aside from a brief mention of some specials, the font of the menu makes it barely readable! I know its a special historic font blah blah but it doesnt make it easier to read no matter your vision status. I got bread served to me when I almost finished my meal, perhaps this is a new approach? My fish based dish had zero taste of fish, no flavor of anything came through. Other items ordered were just nothing special but perhaps other items are better. Maybe the menu has gone too far from its roots? Fusion into a fine dining experience isn't what I wanted - just good honest tasty food. One other tip for your staff - every once in a while sit at the tables you are serving. Pretend to eat, if that table moves about the entire time consider fixing it or sticking a beer mat underneath it. I'm in agreement with another reviewers title for this place 'mediocre & expensive'.More

Simply perfect. Helpful staff, delicious meals, pleasant wine. We picked a selection of cold and warm tapas, we did not skip their fish soup. Everything, was sooo tasty! I am definitely going to come here again in the future.

This place outmatches other restaurants in the city by orders of magnitude. It would even be competitive in Prague where competition is really tough. Sure, everything is costly and the decor is somewhat ordinary, but the selection of food is amazing - the menu has...just the right number of items, everything is made from high quality ingredients and it tastes accordingly. The service is also wonderful.More

This was highly recommended but some friends told us not to go as the food has changed under the new ownership. We wanted to try it for ourselves before making our mind up. I understand that this is a tapas restaurant but the portion sizes...were ridiculously small for the price. The food was mediocre and the seafood dishes seemed not very fresh (I know cz is a land locked country but still). The highlights were the octopus and jamon, everything else was mediocre and not impressive. The waiter was inexperienced and did things like forget drinks, forget napkins, forget what was in the food. He tried hard but you could tell he wasn’t trained. Anyway, if you are after an amazing restaurant in ML this is not it. But if you are after an interesting tapas evening then I would say to give it a try. I personally won’t come back.More

EN: for years our favorite restaurant in ML pleasing all senses....however this year (new chef, new Staff?) both the service and drinks were horrible, unbeliavably slow and meals average...but what totally put us off this restaurant was the comment of the staff upon our leaving..."next time, when you wanna order 14 meals go to McDonald's"...we have travelled half the globe and honestly have not met someone so rude even in low cost bars! CS: bohužel naše největší letošní zklamání z ML. Už nikdy více.More

The restaurant was pleasant, the dishes were special, full of color and it is obvious that the chef is creative and thinks of each dish. The service was outstanding.
