We enjoyed a traditional Czech lunch here during a group tour of beautiful Kutna Hora. The service was exceptional and the food was tasty and well presented. Give them a try!

As an American in a short trip through middle/ Eastern Europe I have tried several variations of Goulash. The wild boar goulash with bread/gingerbread dumplings will forever be my gold standard for goulash. The meat was flavorful and tender swimming in a slightly spicy gravy....The dumplings added a slightly sweet and contrasting flavor which complemented the meat and gravy perfectly. The staff were quit friendly and the atmosphere cozy but it is the goulash I will remember long after I am home.More
interesting building, very cozy atmosphere, maybe too many people (groups) eating lunch, but the staff was friendly and the food good and inexpensive.
The fire was warm, the beer cold and frothy, the svíčková na smetaně absolutely delicious. Possibly the best meal I had in the Czech Republic. The pub is on a side street, so it's a little hidden from view, but not much of a detour...from the city center. They offer good local beer and good Czech dishes, at honest Czech prices.More
We stumbled upon the restaurant on a day trip to the city. As soon as we entered through the old heavy wooden door the atmosphere excited us. Heavy wooden benches, paintings on the walls, a chandelier hanging from the roof and a big stone fireplace,...added to the environment. The plate portions where big enough, the beer was cold and the food tasted, delicious. The staff was super helpful, they spoke basic English, but it wasn't hard to communicate. Definitely value for money, if you take under consideration the medieval touch it leaves to the visitor. Will visit againMore
Stopped in here after a trip to the sedlec ossuary on the edges of town and was pleasantly surprised by the super friendly atmosphere, cool decor, and fantastic food. We had two meals, one beer, and one soft drink for 590kč (around £20 gbp) which...is great value especially for the quality of food & service.More
Excellent czech restaurant. Perfect czech tank beer. Must be reservation because of many ppl are interested in this pub.
Great authentic food, very quick! I am a vegetarian and had the fried cheese which was amazing and my husband had a phenomenal beef goulash. Would come again!
We went there on a quiet night and sat outside. Nice beer garden though inside was fun and comfortable as well. Nice staff, and we were there just for some local beer. Not many on tap, but of you are like us, we were happy...to try something we’d never see in the States.More
If you would like to try some reach Czech food then this seems a great place to come. They have outdoor seating and a great selection of beer. The menu does have a couple of vegetarian options but not a whole lot and very short...of vegan choice if any, I choose to order the egg with dill sauce and dumplings. The sauce was a little too sweet for me but I was happy to try it. My husband said the beef was very good. It’s close to St Barbara’s.More
Incredible food, good beer. Great location and an excellent service. For sure we will return in our next visit. Do not miss the tank beer.
Nice place. Professional service , good beer and at menu not only normal stuff but as well similar stuff like my grand mother was cooking. I visit them yesterday evening with wife and we really enjoy this. Thanks
We came to the restaurant because they had a good selection of Gluten-free, and they did. Excellent atmosphere and fantastic food. After a day of sightseeing this was the perfect place to stop.
We took the turkey with red cabbage and croquettes stuffed with plum jam. We also tried the beef cheek with mashed potatoes. Placing on a plate was rustic, the flavors were great. The waitress was friendly.
The food is AMAZING here. We ordered multiple dishes from the menu and all of them were delicious and the portions are big. I tried the potato dumplings with shreded duck and white cabbage and it was the best meal I have ever had in...the Czech Republic.More
