Lunch at Farma Hory was by far one of the best meals we had on our entire Prague trip. If the weather permits try to snag a table outdoors in the spacious wooden pavilion - a perfect spot for a scenic lunch. You will be...surrounded by rolling green pastures with playful horses frolicking in flower-dotted meadows. You may even spot a deer or two on the premises. And the food. Oh My Goodness. The food was simply divine! We had some of the most delicious gnocchi we have ever eaten. So good that we had to order a second serving! Their pizza was also incredible. A light thin crust, the perfect balance between floppy and crispy, dribbled with simple, flavorful toppings. The highlight of the meal was the pork dumplings, a typical Czech dish which both our local tour guide and I ordered. One spoonful and I had to close my eyes in ecstasy and sigh in absolute pleasure. Even our guide was impressed by the dish and mentioned that this was exactly the way her grandmother made them! If the food gets a stamp of approval from a local, who am I to argue? Farma Hory was an incredibly lucky find. For the setting, the service and the quality of food, the prices were extremely reasonable. It is a bit of a commute being 2km away from Karlovy Vary, but trust me when I say that it is absolutely worth every millisecond of your time. Avoid the crowded, pricier eateries closer to town and treat yourself to this hidden gem.More

Thanks to Tripadvisor, I stumbled upon this hidden gem of a restaurant, and on a recent girls trip, we had lunch here. On entering the place, you are greeted by a breathtaking view of horses galloping, a beautiful farm house, and a smiling waitress. we...managed to get a table outside, under the shade. The weather was gorgeous, and the food even better. One of my girlfriends was dying to have gnocchi, and trust me when I say this, it literally melted in my mouth. Another one of the girls and I shared a bacon pizza, thin crusted, which was equally superb, and a third friend of ours had the pork ghoulash with dumplings. Needless to say, all the food was great, the hot chocolate that followed was even better, but what we were taken aback about was just the serenity and peace that we experienced on entering the place. Absolutely worth a visit!More
